Case in point: the Legion. These hyperactive stabby teens have an array of outfits that show off the different facets of every member of their group. Their primary look is early-90s grunge chic à la Nirvana, but they’re not afraid to get weird when it comes to expressing themselves. Frank, Julie, Susie, and Joey, have some killer drip (sometimes literally), but which outfits rock the realm of the Entity and which ones fade out? Here they all are, ranked.

Updated on January 7, 2025 by Emily McElroy: Out of all the characters introduced in Dead by Daylight, The Legion remains one of the most popular killers. Maybe it's their rebellious attitude, or a surprisingly sad backstory. Maybe it's the fact that there are technically four versions of them. Or maybe it's just because their fashion style is just that killer. Check out the best Legion outfits right here, right now.

19 School Gang (Julie)

A Real-Life Legion Gang?

This outfit is an interesting addition to the Legion's wardrobe as it's based on a real-life trend. Sukeban were female Japanese delinquents from the 1980s. The trend started when girls were denied entry into local gangs, so they just started their own.

Sukeban fashion was defined by modified school uniforms. Gang members used long skirts as a form of rebellion against shorter, more 'popular' styles. They were also known for wearing masks, much like most of the Dead by Daylight killers. This outfit clearly takes influence from the Sukeban subculture, which is fitting considering the Legion's role as a counter-culture killer. For those wanting something amazing to look at and with its own lore, School Gang is a perfect fit.

18 Slam Dunk (Joey)

Dunk On Those Survivors

If you want to be a member of the Legion, you've got to work hard and play hard. And you've got to be in the best shape of your life. For those who want to get that grind in, the Slam Dunk outfit is perfect.

It's inspired by basketball uniforms. Apparently, Joey was quite a basketball star before he was a member of the Legion, but his bad behavior wound up getting him cut from the team. But the memories remain with this outfit - and you can inflict those memories on survivors. The past can hurt, and you can too.

17 Backstabber

Right In The Back

Would you believe us if we said that the Legion is actually made up of a bunch of nerds? Turns out it's true - they're really interested in Dungeons & Dragons. During the release of Vecna, different characters got Dungeons & Dragons-inspired cosmetics - and Susie was one of them.

Susie apparently really likes playing rogues, and it shows in this outfit. This cosmetic set is one of the most rogue-ish rogue outfits to ever rogue. Covered in black leather and capped off with a hood, this set is perfect for stabbing around.

16 Visit Day

A Visit To Remember

Susie is a popular member of the Legion due to her backstory - and her cosmetics. She gets a large amount of the cosmetics due to her popularity, and Visit Day is one of them. Visit Day is different from a lot of the Susie cosmetics, but it still has traces of her style.

Visit Day is inspired by objects in a museum. Susie was on a visit for school when she got the urge to take some objects for herself. She wears her trademark hoodie, but has accessorized with a knight's mask, a metal hand, and, of course, a new knife. It is a very different set than Susie usually gets, which allows for a nice change.

15 Stolen Cheer

Give Me An 'L'!

Of all the members of the Legion, Susie is the most sympathetic. Portrayed as the innocent and easily manipulated youngster of the group, her story is quite tragic. However, this cosmetic shows that Susie can be quite bloodthirsty all on her own.

The 'Stolen Cheer' cosmetic comes from a cheerleader who was cruel to Susie. Apparently Susie didn't appreciate the way she was treated, and she went after the cheerleader herself. Nothing is said about what happened to the cheerleader, but she evidently came to a nasty end. Susie has made this cosmetic her own through neon paint and sarcasm. Not bad for the 'weakest' member of the group.

14 Legion Aberrations Collection (Frank And Julie)

Back To Basics

These are some of the cheapest skins available for the Legion, suitably so since they’re barely different from the default outfits.

The bodies are subtle recolors, but otherwise have the same designs. The changes for the masks are less subtle recolors, and are all unified in how much uglier they are than the default white mask. You wouldn’t be able to tell that the knives are different unless you were looking closely at them — even up close they’re unimpressive.

13 Fairview Senior Collection (Frank And Julie)

Senoritis Is Real

A slightly more academic set for the star couple of the Legion — Dropout for Frank and Suspended for Julie. While it’s an interesting take, it ultimately doesn’t suit them. The main bodies are meh, while the weapons are barely-noticeable pallet swaps of their usual default knife.

The only standouts in this set are the masks, the Smeared Smirk and Hushed Smile, for Frank and Julie respectively. The latter especially, given that it gives off a creepy-playful vibe, similar to the aesthetic of the film The Purge.

12 Sophomore Jitters Collection (Julie And Susie)

Slash With The Sophmores

This collection offers the Saturday Slasher outfit for Julie and the Extracurricular and Volunteer outfits for Susie. Julie’s outfit shows off her love of denim, giving her a tough look that's softened somewhat by her blonde locks peeking through her hood and mask. Her Hoodwinked mask is neat, again mixing mischievous and murderous in equal measure. The knife is a bejeweled dagger that doesn’t match the outfit, but still looks pretty cool.

Susie’s outfits are variations on a theme, showing off perhaps the filthiest sweater in all of gaming, either with or without the Fairview High logo. Both outfits are fine, and which you go with depends on whether you like the purple, blue, and green color scheme or the simpler blue and red one more. This set also features one of the stupidest-looking weapons in all of DBD — it's essentially a sharpened ruler stake with compass needles taped to it.

11 Bush Party (Julie)

She's Gone Wild

This look continues the trend of Julie looking like the toughest of the Legion crew, putting her in lumberjack plaid and equipping her with a tool taken right out of woodshop. Julie's presumably blonde hair peeking out behind the mask gives the outfit a hint of feminimity, something you probably won't be thinking about when she's hunting you down.

Also, this outfit features the Empty Stare, perhaps one of the most subtly off-putting masks in the game, giving even the Shape's own iconically souless look a run for its money.

10 HUNK

What A Hunk

This outfit is a cross promotion with Capcom’s Resident Evil series that casts Legion as the blood-spattered Mr. Death himself, featuring an almost excessive amount of tactical pockets and one of the coolest knives in the game.

As good-looking as this outfit is, it’s weighed down by a lack of commitment to the concept. First off, given HUNK’s history of getting out of sticky situations, he would have made a fantastic Survivor instead of just another skin in Legion’s collection. Secondly, they have the look right, but they skimped on the audio fidelity by just giving HUNK Frank’s voice with a mask echo filter. Frank is a teenager with a penchant for murder, whereas HUNK is an adult and accomplished mercenary — they should not sound the same.
