Summary
- Popular FromSoftware modder Yui has released a mod that allows seamless co-op in Dark Souls 3.
- With this mod, you'll be able to play through the entire game from start to finish with someone, without having to constantly summon each other.
FromSoftware games are all amazing, each one with their own strengths, but there a few things that can be a little irritating. Co-op has often been a bit dodgy in the likes of Dark Souls and Bloodborne, with FromSoftware opting for a unique summoning system that fits into the world itself. It's great for world-building, but it can be a massive pain in the rear to play through one of the games with someone.
Fortunately, we have modders that can do what FromSoftware distatic.aayyy.com/topic/dn/'t, as after working on mods that add seamless co-op to the likes of Elden Ring and Armored Core 6, a modder called Yui has now been able to add seamless co-op to Dark Souls 3.
Dark Souls 3 Mod Adds Seamless Co-Op
We All Love Some Jolly Cooperation
Just like the name of the mod suggests, Seamless Co-Op (Dark Souls 3) lets you invite other people into your game and theoretically play through the entire game in a single session. Unlike in the vanilla game, players are no longer sent back to their own world when they die, and will instead respawn at the last bonfire, and they won't be sent back after defeating an area's boss either.

Posts 1Fog walls restricting boss arenas are gone, NPC dialogue will be synced up for everyone, and game progression will even carry over to everyone's world. Better yet, this mod also supports up to six players too, so you can start terrorizing Lothric as a gang if you so wish. Just be aware that it probably won't be balanced though, so you will most likely roll over everything.
If that sounds like a fun time for you and a bunch of your buddies, you can find this Dark Souls 3 seamless co-op mode on Nexus Mods, and a little demonstration over on Yui's YouTube channel. Just keep in mind that it's a work-in-progress, meaning it may have a few issues here and there, and you should be good to go.
