Dynasty Warriors: Origins Producer Hints At PS5 Pro Version

The list of PS5 Pro-enhanced games is currently growing ahead of its November launch, with titles like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, and The Last of Us Part II Remastered already making the cut.

However, Dynasty Warriors: Origins, which is set to release in January 2025, is one of the upcoming games that has yet to be confirmed.

From humble origins as a 1v1 fighter, Dynasty Warriors has grown into a huge franchise with a gigantic cast of characters.

Speaking to TheGamer, Origins' producer, Tomohiko Sho, shared that while it is something that the company is considering, there are no firm plans in place yet.

No Dynasty Warriors: Origins PS5 Pro Version As Of Yet

Of a potential PS5 Pro version of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Sho-san told me, “In terms of the PS5 Pro, we are looking at things such as the enhanced revolution frame rate."

Unfortunately, however, he then tempered expectations by saying, "There are things that we are looking at right now, but we don't have anything solid planned at this point.“

It seems likely, given that the Omega Force team is actively "looking at things", that a PS5 Pro version of the game will be available at some point, but it's unclear whether that will be when the game launches.

While a PS5 Pro version of the game wasn't at the forefront of the development team's vision, one thing that was was an unparalleled sense of scale. Sho-san told me that during development, "the programmers on our team wanted to show at least 10,000 soldiers on the screen," something that was easy for him to OK as the game's producer, but was much more difficult for the programmers to pull off.
