As you take every trip to the Old World, you must try to survive the perils that lurk within. The different entities lurking about and traps laid around are set to end you and your companions, if you're not careful enough. One of the traps you may encounter is the Iron Maiden, and you only have a few seconds to escape if you're caught in it.

What Is The Iron Maiden

The Iron Maiden is a trap found in the Old World in Content Warning. This is a torture device that can kill a player that gets trapped inside it.

This trap can be found with its cage open, and it moves when it's not being looked at.

If a player goes inside the cage, the Iron Maiden can capture them, even if they're looking at the device from the inside.

The Iron Maiden can also lunge at players from a short distance, trapping them behind its metal bars.

When an Iron Maiden is moving, it'll make a loud metallic clanging noise, and this can alert you that the trap is nearby.

How To Free Someone In An Iron Maiden

When a player gets trapped inside the Iron Maiden, they have a minute and 30 seconds to live until a teammate comes to their rescue.

Once a teammate attempts a rescue, they'll need to solve a Captcha test named 'CATCHYA' within 15 seconds.

The teammate solving the 'CATCHYA' will only be given three attempts to type out the listed characters correctly in order to save their trapped friend.

Entering an incorrect character will cause you to immediately fail the attempt. There will be no option to hit backspace while trying to solve the 'CATCHYA'.

Entering the 'CATCHYA' correctly will cause the Iron Maiden to release the trapped player.
