7 Things Only Pro Players Know You Can Do In Crime Boss: Rockay City

You can play many different modes in Crime Boss: Rockay City, but stealing stuff is at the core of each one of them. Even though you play as a gangster, stealth is the most important part of the campaign mode. You'll definitely lose in the long run if you go guns blazing in each heist.

In the Baker's Battle mode, you'll fight against four other gangsters and a Sheriff to control Rockay City. As you play the game more, you'll learn some unique mechanics that will make your next run a lot better and easier.
7 Getting Rich Early In The Game
If you want to attack another gangster's turf with your soldiers, you'll need a lot of money. The only way to get over $500,000 is by finishing some special missions like stealing the Dragon Dogs. Though you can't go through these missions during the first few days. Moreover, the normal heists won't give you nearly as much money.
Since having a huge bank gives you a significant advantage, it's important to use a certain mechanic. Hielo (marked in yellow) is one of the gangsters you're competing against, and Baker doesn't particularly like him. After taking a few of his turfs, you'll be able to set the goal to weaken Hielo.
Finishing the tasks in this goal will lead to the gangster offering a peace treaty for seven days. It's more important to accept this money than it is to eliminate Hielo. You can also get extra money at the start of subsequent campaigns with certain boss-level upgrades.
6 Going For Surplus Loot
Whenever you're performing a heist where you're supposed to steal stuff, there'll be a white and yellow bar at the bottom left of your screen. The white bar shows the amount of loot stolen, and the yellow one shows the loot inside the escape van. Though these bars show the loot that you need to finish the objective.
If you go back into the building after these bars are full, you'll still be able to find loot. This is called Surplus Loot, and there's also a level upgrade that increases its price. In general, the Surplus Loot will give you a lot less money than the objective loot, but it's still worth getting everything if you have the time.
5 Intimidation Is Very Powerful
When you first start playing Crime Boss: Rockay City, it's quite hard to get a grasp of the intimidation mechanic. This mechanic lets you tie up certain NPCs without having to eliminate them. It also reduces your chances of getting detected. Though there are quite a few things you need to remember.
Normal guards and NPCs can all be intimidated, but gangsters, police officers, and SWAT members cannot. If you try to intimidate any of the latter, they'll pull out their weapon and start shooting. At this point, it's also important to remember that the alarms only ring if a shot is heard or if the cops finish their radio call.

This means that you still have a long window to execute a target if they've detected you but you can't intimidate them. If you get close to an enemy, they'll likely melee you instead of shooting at you.
4 How To Avoid Cameras
Talking about detection, cameras are far worse if you're stealthing around than NPCs, especially if they're right above a door. Most doors will require you to play a mini-game to pick the lock, which gives the camera enough time to turn around and start detecting you. Players can easily have a tough time getting around these eyes.
For most cameras, the best way to get around them is to wait for them to look the other way and then get right under them. If the camera is under the door of the surveillance room, it's much better to just destroy it or find another way to get in. A destroyed camera has a chance of giving you one strike.
3 Drill Or Buzzsaw Attracts Enemies
Some missions in Crime Boss: Rockay City will ask you to drill into a certain cabinet or buzzsaw through armored doors. The location where you need to place the item is highlighted in white, as shown above. Though it's quite a risk to place the equipment before eliminating all the hostiles in the area.

As soon as the equipment starts, the guards, police officers, or gangsters will start coming to the location. You'll be able to see their location with a question mark on their head. Though this can also be an easy way to eliminate all hostiles at once without getting detected.
2 It's Important To Make Progress Early Game
When you start a new campaign in the game, you'll have some special buffs that'll make it much easier to get things done. The game gets a lot harder when you're past a few days since the police start showing up faster and you also find more enemies in the area, which means a higher chance of detection.
Moreover, each gangster will also upgrade their soldiers' tier with time. If you want to achieve full victory in the Turfwar, it's important to get as many turfs as you can during the early days. This might also mean using everything to eliminate one of the gangsters since it'll be much easier with low-tier troops.
1 How To Unlock Characters In Crime Time
Crime Time is the quick-play mode of Crime Boss: Rockay City where you can perform a heist without any repercussions. This means that you can also go guns blazing if you want to. Though you'll realize that most crew members are locked in this mode, and you can only unlock them through the campaign mode.
There are two types of special crew members in the game. The crew members that you buy with money get unlocked after you reach the maximum level on them in the campaign mode. On the other hand, crews with storylines like Jupiter or Ranger only unlock after finishing all five missions in their story.
