The Power Stone games are particularly exciting as the first one launched on the Dreamcast - Sega's final home console. Some games were saved from the sinking ship and ported over to other consoles of that generation, like the GameCube and PlayStation 2, but Power Stone wasn't. After that, its sequel launched on PSP.

The last Capcom Fighting Collection launched in 2022 and contained ten games. While there are a couple fewer this time, fans are still reacting to the announcement incredibly positively, seemingly very pleased with the game choices.

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will launch on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC. It will not be available on any Xbox platforms. Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, launching later this year, is also giving the Microsoft platform a miss, something that is reportedly due to engine issues making the port too expensive to justify.

Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, on the other hand, is getting a separate digital and physical launch. Also revealed at the Nintendo Direct, this collection will hit digital storefronts on September 12, with physical copies available from November 22. As the name suggests, this compilation brings together a bunch of Marvel vs. Capcom games.
