While it had already been confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 would not be supporting "Carry Forward," AKA Operator skins, Operators and weapon skins from last year's Black Ops 6 would not be transferring over, all in an effort to create a more "authentic" Call of Duty experience that doesn't include goofy skins, it wasn't as if the game wouldn't include some zany characters, as the Vault Edition skins had remained unchanged.

Keyword: Had.

In a new post shared on the Call of Duty blog, the four operators included in the Vault Edition DLC have been reworked in order to maintain the "commitment to the authentic look and feel" of Black Ops 7.

Compared to the original designs, it's a pretty drastic rework. For instance, Harper no longer has the exaggerated armor with green accents, and Karma doesn't have some sort of invisible blue armor over her.

If there was any doubt that Treyarch and Activision are committed to competing with Battlefield 6 by making things as realistic as possible, then that's been put away. However, it might've been a bit premature.

Battlefield 6 Might Have A Goofy Skin Of Its Own

As TheGamer reported on Friday, fans of the Battlefield franchise began rallying against a leaked skin that would've gone against the promise of realistic military designs.

Specifically, fans made it known on social media that they were against an operator that was decked out in lime green accents. It wasn't entirely outrageous since the character is wearing military garb, but in the eyes of fans, even just the smallest amount of color could eventually lead to even more colorful options down the line.

In other words, either COD jumped the gun, or they're genuinely serious about not having any sort of silliness whatsoever.
