The new playlist is called Joint Operations, an admittedly clever double entendre. While it may seem like a standard multiplayer mode at first, you'll soon be subjected to various gameplay modifiers, shifting the landscape of the match and making it significantly more difficult to focus on your objective.

Joint Operations, Explained

When you drop into Joint Ops, you'll be informed that the objective will switch every two minutes. For example, in the first two minutes, you might be playing Kill Confirmed, then when time expires, it will move on to Domination, and later it shifts to Kill Order.

All the classic COD game modes have been given new cannabis-inspired names to fit the Joint Ops theme.

Scoring carries over from each two-minute round, so you'll need to play the objective to earn points and be helpful to the team. The winning team is crowned when the full ten-minute match ends.

That might seem like a lot to wrap your head around, but it gets even wilder. You'll also be at the mercy of modifiers that will mess with your in-game abilities and audiovisual perception.

Joint Operations Modifiers

You're saddled with gameplay-altering effects for the duration of Joint Ops, and just like the mode you're playing, they will change every two minutes. Here is what you can expect while baking away:

• Third-person aiming
• Low gravity
• Double jumping
• Hardcore damage scaling
• Paranoia sounds
• Increased movement speeds
• Doubled health pool
• Visual impairments, like a fuzzy screen and shifting colors
• Score bonuses (+420)

You can be hit by up to four modifiers at the same time. Don't green out!
