Cyberpunk 2077 Has A Unique Katana Feature For The Switch 2

Summary
- Cyberpunk 2077 on the Switch 2 will have a unique feature allowing the use of a Joy-Con to fight with a katana.
- However, it's unclear how exactly that will work.
- Hopefully, it's like Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
We learned a lot from the Nintendo Switch 2 direct; like the new features, first party games, and even a new social platform. However, what really caught everyone's attention. Besides the prices, is the number of triple-A third party titles that would be coming to the platform.

Nintendo is setting a big precedent with Cyberpunk 2077 on the Switch 2.
PostsWith the likes of Elden Ring and Cyberpunk 2077 coming to the Switch 2, we get an idea of just how powerful the console is. While the former still isn't the most graphically intensive game, there will be no doubts about the Switch 2 if it can run CDPR's dystopian RPG. However, it also comes with some features unique to the console.
Cyberpunk 2077 Has A Unique Feature Just For The Switch 2
In a recently released promo video, the devs at CD Projekt Red talked about how the Switch 2 was the best way to play Cyberpunk 2077 on the go. While a lot of it was generic talk about the game and its setting, there was one throwaway line that caught our attention.
"You can use one of your Joy-Cons to fight with your katana," said game director, Adam Badowski. While this line doesn't give us any detail, there's no reason Badowski would say it if there wasn't a special feature attached to it. Perhaps the Switch 2 version of Cyberpunk 2077 might include a feature like Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, where you can aim slashes using the Joy-Con thumbstick.
CloseHowever, a colleague of mine pointed out that it could also be a case where we can use a detached Joy-Con's motion control feature to slash the katana. Badowski didn't mention any more than that, but the fact that he even said this much makes us believe that katanas are going to be way more fun to use on the Switch 2 version.
As for how well the console will run Cyberpunk 2077, CDPR has said that this version of the game will not face the same issues as the initial PS4 launch did. The devs have been working on the game since launch, and the Switch 2 version should run as intended.
