In Black Myth: Wukong, there are a total of six chapters for you to explore as you progress through the story. Each chapter is filled with unique bosses to fight, as well as various characters whose quests you can take on, offering opportunities to assist them in different ways.

Some grant new spells or transformations, others provide crafting materials to forge stronger weapons and more reliable armor to boost your survivability. Additionally, some quests unlock entirely new secret areas within the chapters, and the Venom Daoist quest is one such quest that unlocks the hidden area in Chapter Four.

How To Start Venom Daoist Quest

The Venom Daoist quest takes place in Chapter Four, where you'll first encounter this foe. As you progress through the Webbed Hollow, you'll eventually reach the Keeper's Shrine, known as the Pool of Shattered Jade.

Follow the path on the right side of the shrine to its end, where you'll find a large cocoon where you'll hear someone speaking from inside.

Attack the cocoon, which will trigger a cutscene that reveals the Venom Daoist emerging from it, ready to fight.

After defeating the Venom Daoist for the first time, you'll need to continue your journey to find him in his next location.

How To Complete Venom Daoist Quest

The second location where you can find the Venom Daoist is toward the end of the chapter. Starting from the Temple of Yellow Flowers - Court of Illumination, which is the shrine just before the final boss of this chapter, turn around and exit the temple.

Progress forward until you come across a path that splits. Here, you'll need to take the left path.

Follow this road until you reach an area where a cutscene will trigger, and you'll encounter the Venom Daoist once more. Yes, you will have to defeat it once again in this area.

After successfully defeating him, you’ll notice a wall in front of you that you can interact with. This will lead you to the secret area of Chapter Four, called the Purple Cloud Mountain.

In this hidden area, you will find Daoist Mi as well, so be sure to complete that quest while you’re here.

Continue making your way through the area until you reach the end, where you’ll face the boss, the Duskveil. Upon defeating Duskveil, you will earn the third vessel in the game, known as the Weaver's Needle.
