DIGITALUnlike the other games in the Xenoblade Chronicles series, Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition allows you to decide the appearance of the main playable character. At the start of the game, you can decide your character's facial appearance, including scars and tattoos, their hairstyle and hair color, and the sound of their voice.
If you select the 'Classic' voice option, the male character will have Adam Howden's voice and the female character will have Carina Reeves; they play Shulk and Fiora in the first Xenoblade Chronicles game, respectively.
When you're all set, you're off on an open-world sci-fi adventure, where you explore a new world filled with interesting and dangerous creatures. You'll also get lots of clothing options to change your outfit (and the outfits of your party members), and you can eventually unlock the ability to change your appearance in case you're not satisfied with what you selected at the start of the game.

You can create your appearance, voice, hairstyle, and more. What is fun about the character creation stage is that a narrator will attempt to vaguely describe your character, as if introducing you to a story, often with a comedic spin on your design choices.
Once you are happy with your hero, you can set off on your adventure. After surviving a perilous shipwreck, you land upon the Golden Isle and embark on a quest to restore various gods to their former glory. If you grow bored of your character during the epic adventure, you can always return to Aphrodite's beauty chair to alter your character later in the game.

DIGITALRemnant From The Ashes is a third-person combat-heavy adventure set in a terrifying apocalypse. It feels like a Dark Souls game with guns to add to the chaos. You'll play as one of the last remaining humans, trying to reclaim the world from monsters from another dimension. You'll get to craft your remnant in various ways, including what archetype they fall under, such as a Scrapper. This decision will impact your starting loadout and the gameplay you specialize in, such as close-range combat.
Remnant From The Ashes has a nice variety of options for your character. You can design your hairstyle, including facial hair, and set your eye color and voice. You can even give your character scars from their mysterious past. Once satisfied with your character's look, you'll set to the seas to begin a dangerous, monster-filled journey.

You play as a new kid in South Park who is instantly caught up in an epic war against elves for the titular Stick Of Truth. Whoever controls the stick will control the entire universe.
The stakes are pretty high, but first, you must design your character. You'll get to design exactly how your character looks, fitting into the classic South Park design, including accessories such as glasses and clothes.
Despite all the fun options for designing the new kid in town, you'll not get a real chance to choose your character's name. Instead, the Grand Wizard Eric Cartman will give you a fitting nickname to be addressed as. Your name isn't too important, though, as you instead get to pick your class, such as a Mage or a Thief. The classes add exciting changes to the turn-based combat you'll partake in during the hilarious story.

DIGITALOut of all the character-creation Switch games available, Moving Out is undoubtedly one of the silliest. It takes the tedious chore of moving house and turns it into a chaotic, fun experience for you and your friends. You will attempt to carry furniture into the moving truck as quickly as possible throughout increasingly outlandish levels. Many obstacles are in your way as you smash items and break almost everything you were supposed to deliver safely.
Before jumping into the game, you get to design your character. The more you play, the more options you unlock, from animals to a plant-pot-headed character. You also get to give them accessories, such as silly hats, and change the colors of your outfits. You can get some ridiculous designs that add to the chaos of this hilarious party game.

You begin the game with no memory of who you are, which is confusing, but also a chance to have a truly blank canvas character to unravel more about during the story. If you are keen on games on Switch with character creation that significantly alters the story you experience, Disco Elysium offers a lot of variety.
Although you cannot design the look of your character in Disco Elysium, you still get to customize their personality and skillset. At the start of the game, you can select an archetype from Thinker, Sensitive, and Physical. Alternatively, you can start from scratch and put your skill points wherever you wish.
Your decisions on what attributes you want to be skilled (and unskilled) in will have a massive impact on your playthrough. From giving you unique lines of dialogue to potentially locking you out of specific paths, your story will differ each time you play. It is fun to see how focusing on different skills will help and hinder your progress in this captivating story.
