DIGITALKirby games are always a treat to relax with, thanks to their easy difficulty and cute as heck characters. Almost any game in the series would be a great entry point to gaming, but Kirby Star Allies is one of the simplest. This entry is literally designed with multiplayer for all in mind, having simplified level design and a short and sweet main campaign that doesn't drag on.
The one issue many have had with Star Allies was it's awful single-player experience. However, in multiplayer, it is the opposite. It is easily accessible to anyone, making it the perfect introductory 2D platformer for your partner and you to trek through. It is forgiving yet fun enough to entertain both of you and has a ton of charm as well.

DIGITALA forgotten gem on the Nintendo Switch, Snipperclips is the perfect game to spend some quality time together. This wholesome little puzzle game involves you snipping each other into different shapes to solve tricky challenges, such as filling a shape outline perfectly or dropping an egg into a basket.
As you only use three main buttons to control your snipping, resetting, and rotating, it's easy for anyone who struggles to understand complex games. If working together isn't your preferred way of having fun, there are also multiple competitive minigames to play as well. Snipperclips has a simple premise, but it will give you both a hilariously engaging time as you try your best to work together and solve each puzzle.

DIGITALIf you need one of the most pleasant co-op 3D platformers for a beginner, then look no further than the wonderful Kirby and the Forgotten Land. This entry in the beloved Kirby series is the first to be in full 3D, and is the most enjoyable of the entire series, especially when played with another. Jump your way through dozens of levels together in an abandoned civilization filled with cute, colorful creatures.
So many silly concepts and elements of game design from all over the industry are scattered throughout this title, and it's always a blast to discover each level. We would recommend that you both switch characters every couple of levels or so, to avoid one of you feeling restricted by player two's lack of inclusion in the various gimmicks and power-ups that Kirby gets.
