10 Saitama Vs. Boros
One-Punch Man
CloseAs is the pattern throughout One-Punch Man, it's up to the strongest man alive, Saitama, to deal with enemies of cataclysmic proportions. With the Dark Matter Thieves sowing destruction throughout A-City, Saitama faces his final enemy of Season 1 during its finale in the form of Boros.
Saitama barges into Boros' ship, wherein the alien puts out all the stops to defeat Saitama. Although Boros seems to overwhelm Saitama with his barrage of super attacks, Saitama defeats him with his Serious Punch move. The fight was upbeat and a delight to watch, but there was an undertone of sadness as these two titans acknowledged each other's strength, with the overpowered Saitama once again left alone to stand at the top.
9 Midoriya Izuku And Heroes Vs. All For One
My Hero Academia
CloseMy Hero Academia's story has finally concluded, and it certainly ended with a bang. The final showdown between All For One, Midoriya Izuku and all the Pro-Heroes tick all the boxes in terms of combat, climactic emotional highs, and finally, a full in-depth look into All For One's vulnerabilities.
With most of the Heroes injured, it seemed that All For One was going to achieve his dream of being the world's ultimate 'Demon Lord'. But with the combined cooperation of dozens of Pro-Heroes, Midoriya's determination, Shigaraki Tomura and the vestiges of One For All fighting back, All For One is finally defeated. We're also able to see Midoriya and Shigaraki interact one last time for a bittersweet conversation, as Shigaraki is truly free at last.
8 Naraku Vs. Inuyasha, Higurashi Kagome And Allies
Inuyasha
CloseIn his bid to become a full demon and obtain the Shikon Jewel, half-demon hybrid Naraku has left death and destruction in his wake. Although Naraku is already formidable in his own right, he becomes infinitely even more powerful after achieving his goal of completing the Shikon Jewel.
But with the combined might of Inuyasha, Sesshomaru, Kagome and their allies, they were able to overpower him. Kagome purified Naraku's soul and outmanoeuvred the demon's attempt to trap her in the Jewel with him, wishing away the Shikon Jewel's existence and destroying Naraku once and for all.
7 Mob Vs. Himself
Mob Psycho 100
CloseThis is an unconventional one when it comes to anime showdowns, as it doesn't involve any high-octane combat sequences at all. Instead, we get a satisfying conclusion to Mob's arc and his gradual maturation and character progression.

Grand weapons for even grander stories.
PostsThroughout the series, Mob has a darker side he keeps hidden largely by suppressing his emotions. But while on the way to confess to his crush Tsubomi, the manifestation of his powers - known as ??? - awakens after being hit by a car, and he starts dealing damage to the city using his psychic powers. His mentor and employer, Reigen, chases after him despite the danger and ultimately gets Mob to accept himself, resulting in Mob freeing himself from the chains of his past trauma.
6 Gojo Satoru Vs. Sukuna
Jujutsu Kaisen
CloseThe fight between the 'Strongest Sorcerer in History' and the 'Strongest Sorcerer of Today' has long been anticipated since both Gojo and Sukuna were introduced in the very first episode. Many things have happened since Gojo was sealed during the Shibuya Incident, from the Culling Game to Sukuna leaping into Megumi's body to use his Ten Shadows technique.
The succeeding fight between the two doesn't disappoint, from thrilling close-quarters combat to showcasing both Sukuna's Malevolent Shrine and Gojo's Unlimited Void fighting for dominance, with Sukuna using Megumi's Ten Shadows in full. Although the outcome of this fight is both harrowing and unexpected, we fully understand why it's said that only the Ten Shadows can combat the Six Eyes and Limitless techniques.
5 Jotaro Kujo Vs. Dio Brando
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
CloseThe Joestars' eternal feud with Dio Brando continues, as the third JoJo, Jotaro, clashes with Dio in a bid to save his ill mother. It's established early in the fight that Dio is stronger and infinitely more experienced, using his ability to manipulate time to make things difficult for Jotaro. The icing on the cake is that Dio is fighting using Jonathan Joestar's body - an awkward family reunion, to say the least.
The fight could be said to be one of the best and most iconic in anime history, with its marvellous voice acting adding to its intensity. Both Dio and Jotaro made good showings with The World and Star Platinum, respectively, but Jotaro's ability to adapt and ultimately outsmart the arrogant Dio decided the outcome of this fated clash.
4 Netero Vs. Meruem
Hunter X Hunter
CloseAlthough Hunter X Hunter is known for its spectacular fights, Isaac Netero's final battle against Meruem stands as one of the most memorable. Despite being considered one of the most powerful of his time, we quickly find that Meruem is far stronger, managing to slice off Netero's limbs while remaining unscathed.
With humanity's fate at stake, Netero could not afford to lose. Despite being on his last leg (no pun intended), Netero was willing to sacrifice himself and take Meruem with him, unleashing Miniature Rose to end Meruem's existence for the good of the world.
3 Spike Spiegel Vs. Vicious
Cowboy Bebop
CloseThe final outcome in the saga of Spike Spiegel is truly emotional and bittersweet. Spike finally faces his long-time archnemesis, Vicious, in battle to end the bitter feud between them, as well as enact his revenge after Vicious murdered Julia.

PostsAlthough the combat in this fight is not on par with My Hero Academia or One-Punch Man, Spike's clash with Vicious leaves a lasting impression due to its sheer emotional impact. Both parties injure the other severely, with Vicious falling dead and Spike assumed to follow right after when he collapses on the stairs. It ends on a melancholy note, a sad conclusion to the carefree Spike Spiegel and an even sadder end to a friendship gone sour.
2 Father Vs. Edward Elric And Allies
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
CloseThroughout the series, Edward Elric and his allies have been vexed by the nefarious schemes of Father in his attempt to become the perfect creation. Although Edward is the story's protagonist, it takes more than just him to take down Father for good.
The combat is just as exciting and fast-paced as ever, but it's the combined effort of Edward, Alphonse and the friends they've gathered along the way, as well as the highly symbolic nature of the clash that makes it so memorable. It was also very fitting that it was ultimately Greed's actions that proved the final nail in the coffin for Father, showing how it was Father's greed and persistent desire for more that led to his downfall.
1 Eren Jaeger Vs. Survey Corps And Allies
Attack On Titan
CloseWith Eren's gradual loss of sanity turning him against his former friends and resulting in him committing endless atrocities, a battle against his once-allies was inevitable. The onset of 'The Rumbling' has already led to an obscene number of innocents killed and Eren has no intention of stopping until all life is annihilated.
Although Eren appears to be on the winning side, the great personal sacrifices his former comrades made that enabled them to defeat Eren see one of the most emotional and heartbreaking battles in anime. Its ending may be controversial to some in the fandom, but it can't be denied that Attack on Titan has cemented its place as one of anime's greats.
