Finishing the main story of Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is finally within grasp as we enter the final two chapters of its installment. Rounding out our adventure, there are a few loose ends to tie up, but the shining end goal and the exit of Avalon Forest is just a run away. Or two. And maybe also a boss battle.

Having refused Lucaon last chapter, we begin the final trial with Morgana's exit spell finally cast, Lucaon's fate hanging in the balance, the return of a foe we feel no compassion for, and a plot twist you may not have seen coming. It's time for all the skills you've cultivated until now will be put to the test.

For A Friend

With everything collected, there is little to do for this chapter beyond tying up a few loose ends.

Before you carry on with the chapter, you'll want to make sure you:

  • Turn in all your wisps to Colm at the Wisps' Hideaway.
  • Find all the collectibles you want.
  • Complete the Tir Na Nog timed trials.
  • Concoct any potions you might need (especially Healing Tonics).

When you're ready, talk to Lucaon at the Whispering Path Sanctuary.

Once you speak with Lucaon for this chapter, you will not be able to return to Avalon Forest for any reason. This is the point of no return.

The Chase

This chapter is exceptionally short and has only one obstacle amidst a slew of cutscenes: a minigame chase sequence on Cheshire's back.

In this sequence:

  • Dodge left and right with your joystick when the faeries attack in a three-step beam.
  • Use ZR to jump over a single laser on the ground and R1 to slide under three rows of lasers in the air.
  • When a faerie flies forward to attack alone, use ZL to Thorn Bind them with Cereza.
  • Dodge left or right around a singular, vertical laser (during the laser portion).

These obstacles don't stack with one another now, but they do gradually speed up.

Complete this chase to move onto another cutscene and into the next chapter.

A Witch Is Born This Night - Evasion

Once Morgana begins attacking you while riding Cheshire, you'll want to take all you've learned from Chapter 12 and apply it to this chase.

The first instance of this chase will be on a long web path where Morgana will summon lance-like spider legs from portals in the air above. Move left or right to evade them.

In the next section, apply what you learned from the laser-section in the previous chase by jumping or ducking under the spider legs. These are all prompted by a purple sigil on the left side but can be very quick and will require a good reaction time.

Passing the horizontal phase, continue into the next where now an arching leg will appear over your path. Stay away from the far left and right sides of your path and run through. You may duck under them, but ignoring them works just as well.

Morgana will then begin shooting purple balls of magic as your camera orientation changes. Dodge left or right to avoid them until you're brought into the next section where all you've learned in the chase before is brought together.

Spider legs will now appear vertically and horizontally at random. Dodge them all.

The magic orbs Morgana shoots explode once they reach the space slightly in front of Cheshire.

As such, it is not safe to dodge into their lane until a moment after their explosion. Otherwise, you'll be struck by their fallout.

At the end of your path, you'll be brought into a new area for the next portion of this chase.

You should notice that the surrounding space is a cylinder. You can move 360 degrees around this enclosure. Use this to move around the walls Morgana constructs either left or right.

Morgana will now begin firing purple laser beams during this sequence. Move either left or right until you reach the top of her head and continue moving to stay at this angle while she fires the beam.

Sometimes, this laser beam will be two in a V-shape. Simply keep moving to stay between the two beams since they do not close.

Continue through this section until you jump down onto the moon-like surface into the next phase of Morgana's fight.

Morgana And Lex Talionis

Unwilling to fight you herself for this portion, Morgana will summon the demon spider, Lex Talionis, to do her dirty work for him. Thankfully, you'll now have Witch's Pulse to deal with them both.

When fighting Lex Talionis, use Witch's Pulse as much as possible by dodging at the last possible second (or when prompted).

During your Witch's Pulse, mash a flurry of attacks to deal as much damage as quickly as possible. Repeat this until Lex Talionis is swapped for Morgana.

During Morgana's attack, she will fire a laser beam from each of her hands downward on the moon's surface. You cannot attack her, so run away from these beams and keep a distance until Lex Talionis reappears.

Continue attacking Lex Talionis and evading Morgana until you receive a cutscene prompt to dodge and then grab one of Lex Talionis's legs. Button mash as prompted to deal a large amount of damage to Morgana.

You may repeat this process into the next stage with one caveat: Morgana's laser beam attack is now accompanied by summoning lance-like spider legs. Just like in the chase from earlier, dodge both by running around them.

After striking Morgana with the second spider-spear, you'll now have to challenge her far more difficult final form.

Daemon Masquarata - Forger Of The Forbidden Covenant

Spider Morgana likes to move around a lot. Constantly teleporting, lunging, and running, she can be a little hard to pin down for a flurry of blows.

She can also:

  • Fire projectiles;
  • Activate traps from afar;
  • Attack with a wide melee range.

Her attacking pattern can make getting close difficult at times.

Witch's Pulse should be the only way you attempt to get any hits in here. Acting greedy will get you punished.

The best attack to get a good Witch's Pulse in is during her lunge attack.

The long wind up and flash of purple will give you a good opportunity to use Witch's Pulse.

For her ranged attacks, use Witch's Pulse to close the distance. Most of the time, you won't get more than one attack in before the pulse deactivates. Don't get greedy and instead wait for her melee-wind up to activate a second Witch's Pulse.

Near the 60-70 percent health mark, Morgana will throw Cereza and Cheshire back across the arena and begin using a double laser beam attack.

It does slightly track you and is followed by a single and then a double laser beam attack until you get close enough. Use Witch's Pulse to close the gap quickly and cancel out her follow-up lasers.

Afterward, Morgana will either melee attack or teleport again.

Upon reaching the 40-50 percent mark, Morgana will spawn several lasers around her body that move in a circle around her. As the laser circle progresses, it will slowly fan out around her.

To dodge this attack, you'll want to dodge forward into the circle and toward Morgana. Being inside will be the safest place, and getting a Witch's Pulse during your dodge will allow you a few attacks to Morgana before she teleports away again.

Her most damaging attack almost always comes after the circular laser move. Gathering several pink lasers above her head, the lasers will conjoin into one, large multibeam that can do severe damage if not avoided.

The beam will always begin on the left side of the screen and must be dashed through to the left. A dodge prompt will also always appear on-screen.

Eventually, Morgana will have enough of you and transform into her giant, crystalline form before attempting to smash you with her hands. Follow the prompts on screen to dodge these attacks and then make a few yourself.

You might not be able to defeat her fast enough once this mode is triggered.

If not, Morgana will transform back into her small form and begin a barrage of spinning attacks you'll either need to avoid entirely or gamble a forward dodge for Witch's Pulse.

Between Witch's Pulse and smart attacks, Morgana will be defeated.

However, our story is not quite done yet, and there's one final adventure to be had in Bayonetta's Origin's secret chapter...
