Unlocking cursed chests may seem daunting at first, but the process is straightforward. You'll need to find three specific items scattered throughout the game world. Once you've collected these items, you can use them to perform a ritual on the chests, unlocking access to their rewards.

The Explorer Location #1

You don't have to go far to find the first Explorer item. It's located just after you pass through the rocks near the cursed chest location.

You'll come across a small camp with a hanging pot, and the item will be inside the pot.

The Explorer Location #2

Now, the second one isn't as easy as the first. From the previous location, continue forward, and shortly, you'll find a climbable wall to the left. After climbing up, make your way inside the cave until you find a rope to descend from.

This area is warded, and you'll need to destroy the ward before retrieving the item you're after.

To do so, descend to the bottom of the cave through the wall to your right. Once at the bottom, walk a bit further, and you'll come across some wooden barriers blocking the way.

Destroy them, and inside, you'll find the ward that needs to be destroyed to release Antea.

With Antea now available, switch to her and use the Outburst Manifestation on the rocks near the torch on the ground. After that, you'll find the second Explorer item you need.

The Explorer Location #3

For the final one, you need to exit the cave. To do so, climb back up from the wall you descended earlier, then use Antea's Leap Manifestation to exit the cave.

You'll spot the point where you can use this Manifestation when you switch to Antea.

Outside the cave, drop down and follow the path to the right. Cross the bridge, and you'll come across some stairs leading to the building in front of you.

Once you reach the building, look to the right, and you'll find a well containing the final Explorer item you need to unlock the chest.

Now that you have acquired all three items, all you need to do is return to the cursed chest locations and perform the Unbounding ritual to be rewarded with new equipment.
