Pre-orders for the Baldur's Gate 3 Deluxe Edition are already being scalped on eBay, reselling for upwards of $299.99. However, fans are being told not to buy from resellers, as Larian reminds everyone that the Deluxe Edition isn't a limited edition.

This comes from Larian's director of publishing, Michael Douse, who says that there "won't be stock scarcity" when the physical copies of Baldur's Gate 3 are shipped out next year. Indeed, the Deluxe Edition can still be bought on all platforms over on the Larian website, and according to Douse, this shouldn't change anytime soon.

"Just FYI the Deluxe Edition is *not* a limited edition and stock is holding steady," says Douse. "So if you see them online being resold based on confirmed preorders at higher prices, skip it. There won’t be stock scarcity."

Despite stock holding up, would-be scalpers are still trying their luck online. A quick search on eBay shows users listing their Baldur's Gate 3 Deluxe Edition pre-orders with a huge price hike, typically over $200. The price on the Larian website is a much more manageable $79.99, although this may come with a shipping cost. Over in Ireland, it came to €99.99 altogether, so still cheaper than what scalpers are offering.

Right now, the only way to get a physical copy is to pre-order the Deluxe Edition. Otherwise, you can get a digital version of the base game for $59.99.

Thankfully, the scalpers don't seem to be finding much success. The ones that are open to bids have no takers, and I'm not seeing a listing with a bunch of confirmed buyers. They've still ruined the Collector's Editon, though, peddling that for over $2,000 in some instances.

Hopefully, Larian is right here, and the stock will be fine. At least it's now clear that the Deluxe Edition isn't being made to be exclusive while stocks last like the Collector's Edition was. Fans should have a better shot of bagging this at a more reasonable price, even if scalpers seem to be banking on the idea that they won't. Still, it's available to purchase right now, so the scalpers are wasting their time as long as Larian keeps accepting orders on its own site.

Baldur's Gate 3 Deluxe Edition is available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The game is set to come to Xbox digitally before the end of the year.
