The Reaper class builds around one aspect out of the many mechanics involved in Backpack Battles. Reapers use item activations to apply Poison debuffs, but since there are various neutral items in the game, synergizing other item combination strategies helps Reaper builds get exponentially stronger.

Reaper Class Overview
The Reaper class relies on using its Storage Coffin backpack to apply debuffs to the enemy. Your goal is to apply Poison debuffs and use items that synergize with applying debuffs for survival and inflicting as much damage as possible.
Each time an item is used while inside the Storage Coffin, the more chances you have at applying more debuffs on top of the actual effects of the item inside the coffin.
For example, if you have a Fly Agaric that says "Every five seconds: inflict one Poison debuff," and it is inside the Storage Coffin, you'll apply a Poison debuff to the enemy as well as have a 25 percent chance to apply another Poison debuff because of the Storage Coffin's mechanics.
If you have eight of these inside the Storage Coffin, you'll inflict these Poison debuffs incredibly fast. When you have items that help you trigger items faster, you'll exponentially increase your damage output through faster Poison debuff stacking.
On average, activatable items won't show up every time you reroll the shop. There are a lot of activatable items, but not everything synergizes well together, like a Banana and a Garlic. You still have to mix things up.
It is worth noting that weapons also belong inside the Storage Coffin, as activating the attack or ability of a weapon triggers the Poison debuff.

Alchemist
The Cauldron is one of the beginner-friendly subclasses for the Reaper. Your goal is to focus on activatable Food items while placing the Cauldron and some of the food items in the corner of the Storage Coffin. While you are stacking items next to the Cauldron, you are also getting Heat stacks, which hastens your items to trigger faster by two percent per stack.
When increasing your Heat stacks, you want to have items that give you more survivability, such as a Banana or even a weapon with Vampirism. Once you stack enough Heat, your power will snowball since your items will keep activating faster as the fight goes on longer.
Keep in mind that all these activations also stack Poison debuffs on the enemy.
The build's overall damage output is weak compared to others, and you rely on increasing your survivability to prolong the fights. Most build love a drawn-out fight since they also have some way of inflicting more damage when the fight goes longer. You'll have to find a way to synergize other items into the build and not just rely on the Food buffs.
Vampiress
The Vampiress is one of the most satisfyingly greedy builds for the Reaper. Your goal is to stack Vampirism and try to activate as many items in the Storage Coffin as possible. Since your Poison debuffs steal life through your Vampirism buffs, you are hitting two birds with one stone by stacking Vampirism.
The accessory also wants to buff multiple weapons, which is kind of hard to do unless you go for the simple Hungry Blades while combining Blood Amulets with other pieces like the gloves to improve your Vampirism.
The reason why the build is somewhat greedy is because of its potential to use multiple weapons and challenge your math skills if you have what it takes to manage your stamina while using all of them efficiently.
You can see your player's stats, specifically the stamina stat. The game will tell you if you have low or very high stamina usage. However, this doesn't account for long battles where you have multiple stacks, so you still have to adjust a little on your own.
There's a unique called The Blood Harvester, which improves the Vampirism buffs of connect items while buffing your attack speed for each Vampirism buff. The higher your attack speed, the higher stamina you need.
While the stamina cost of The Blood Harvester is low, it depends on what you have as your other weapons. If you have a Death Scythe, that will eat up all your stamina, especially when you start ramping up your attack speed.
You want to manage your stamina while getting multiple weapons active and get multiple Vampirism stacks from other sources like the Vampiric Gloves or even a Vampiric Potion.
Since you are stealing life with almost every mechanic for this subclass, you can forego other survivability items like normal armor and shields, but if you do find an armor piece, you can gamble and try to find a Blood Amulet and combine these items together to stack more Vampirism.
Witch
The Witch subclass is in a peculiar place because your goal is to stack as many debuffs on the enemy regardless of whether it is Poison or not. This is the same goal for any general Reaper build, but you have some exclusive Plushies to help you achieve that goal better.
Since most builds have their way of stacking debuffs on the enemy, Mr. Struggles reflects those debuffs to the enemy, heavily improving your debuff output depending on the enemy's power. Apart from that, the Reaper has an exclusive combination of cards you can line up like a train to gain powerful buffs and inflict several debuffs.
Reapers have access to the cards regardless of your subclass, but they are best used on the Witch build.
There's a Plushie called Miss Fortune that uses one Luck every three seconds and applies two random buffs on you. Three seconds is really fast, and you should put these Plushies inside the Storage Coffin to inflict more Poison debuffs.
Read each of the cards and their effects because order and positioning for the cards matter here. You want to look for the Ace of Spades, Reverse Cards, and a good card ender like a White Eyes Blue Dragon or a Holo Fire Lizard. You just want enough Luck buffs to keep the Miss Fortune Plushies cycle for the rest of the battle.
The build is hard to pull off because you are forced to look into other mechanics rather than just focusing on one core mechanic of a subclass.
Hexblade
Unlike other subclasses, the Hexblade revolves around the Cursed Dagger weapon. The Cursed Dagger attacks are quite slow for a dagger, but you can buff it easily with some Heat stacks. The faster you attack, the faster you can inflict debuffs.
You also want to add a stun mechanic to your build like a Hammer, but the best way to do this is through the Ruby Chonk Pet Weapon (yes, it acts as both a pet and a ranged weapon) and reaching 12 Heat stacks as fast as possible.
The Ruby Chonk adds a ton of damage overall, but it also has a 30 percent chance to stun the enemy for each attack when you reach the 12 Heat stacks. This is essentially the goal for this subclass, and you are free to choose which items to add to your build.
If you have the Ruby Chonk, always attach the Cursed Dagger with it so that you can buff it with more accuracy and critical strike chance. Since the Ruby Chonk's base damage is extremely high, you want to buff its 90% accuracy and critical strike chance to inflict big bursts of damage on the enemy.
Venomancer
The Venomancer is the Reaper's pet build, similar to the Berserker's Pack Leader subclass. Unlike the Berserker build, your pets are there to stack Luck buffs on your character.
You initially start with several Luck buffs if you have multiple pets connected to the Snake. The more Luck buffs you have, the more you can prevent the Poison debuffs from getting cleansed by the enemy.
These look quite underwhelming since you are relying on the enemy's cleansing power to be efficient, but the Snake also inflicts two Poison debuffs every two seconds. That mechanic alone plays a big role since you can buff the Snake with multiple fast-trigger items like gloves or multiple Fanny Packs positioned on top of the Storage Coffin buff.
The Venomancer's goal is to apply more Poison debuffs and make sure it sticks to the target until you win the battle. There aren't any other unique builds you can combine apart from connecting a few pets to the Snake.
The best way to maximize your backpack efficiency is to place multiple Fanny Packs on every edge of the Storage Coffin and position the Snake, along with the pets, to gain the buff on multiple Fanny Packs and the Storage Coffin. You can also add some fast-trigger items like gloves outside of the Fanny Pack and buff your useful items even more.
