How To Clear Kashiwara Fort In Assassin's Creed Shadows

Every castle and fort in Assassin's Creed Shadows is home to a Legendary Chest, which contains a legendary weapon or armor piece that Yasuke and Naoe can add to their collections. Assassin's Creed Shadows - Genbao Fort Exploration Guide

Genbao Fort is small, with only two Samurai Daisho patrolling its courtyards.

Although slashing your way through a fort using Yasuke's powerful abilities can be fun, it's likely to increase the amount of time you spend in each location, given the reinforcements you must defeat. Instead, we'll guide you through this area using Naoe's impressive array of stealth skills and tools.

Where Is Kashiwara Fort?

Kashiwara Fort is in the southwestern section of Iga, south of Hijiyama and northwest of the Nabari Wilds.

The closest fast travel point is the Kashiwara Kakurega to the north or the Nabari Lookout to the south.

How To Find & Assassinate The Samurai Daisho

Approach the fort from the northern side near Kashiwara Village.

You'll see an entrance surrounded by greenery, as is most of the border of the fort. Use the shrubbery to your advantage and enter the fort from the Kashiwara Manor.

Progress through the Manor onto the eastern side of Kashiwara Fort by crossing the downed tree trunk into a broken wall leading into the fort.

From the eastern edge of Kashiwara Fort, circle up and around to the southern side, which should give you an elevated view into the only major courtyard in Kashiwara Fort, filled with guards and the sole Samurai Daisho.

• You'll see the Samurai Daisho in a secluded area along the southernmost edge of the fort, adjacent to a patrolling guard.
• Take up a position on a perch above them and watch their movements.
• Once the patrolling guard moves away, go through the broken house and quickly assassinate the Samurai Daisho.
• Clear out the large patrolling guard to prevent anyone from noticing.

What Rewards Do You Get From Kashiwara Fort?

With Kashiwara Fort's sole Samurai Daisho protector out of the way, the scattered riches in Kashiwara Fort are all yours.

Side Loot

There are a handful of chests to find in this area, including the ones listed below.

• Additional Loot:
  • As you pass through Kashiwara Manor, collect the chest in the first building along the eastern edge.
  • In the southern courtyard area in a broken house across from where you killed the Daisho is a chest.
  • In the northwestern corner of the main courtyard, you'll find a chest on the floor adjacent to a wall.

Legendary Chest

Once you've killed the sole Samurai Daisho, you'll find the Legendary Chest in the broken building next to where he was.

Inside you'll find:

• An Engraving
• The Bloodletter Legendary Kusarigama for Naoe
