How To Destroy Purple Glowing Cubes
If you want to destroy the glowing purple cubes, the Umami Cubes, you'll need the Mantis Punch adaptability. To obtain this, you'll need to find and defeat Grovekeeper Topoda, one of the game's optional bosses.
Unlike the other optional bosses, defeating this one will not only grant you access to other hidden areas in the game by destroying the Umami Cubes but also allow you to upgrade your adaptations. Grovekeeper Topoda is unique in that aspect.
Grovekeeper Topoda's Location
To reach your destination, begin at the Village Gates fast travel point in the Expired Grove area. Once there, unlock the shortcut and head back to the village using the boat's door, but before reaching the green milk carton where the sniper is located, be sure to turn north.
After navigating past the hammer lobster, proceed to the end of the ramp. Jump onto the pillar-shaped rock, then leap to the area to the north, and use the hooks to ascend to the higher area after a short distance.
Head northeast until you spot another hook, and utilize it to propel yourself toward the blue balloon. Leap from the blue balloon to the adjacent green one and proceed northward; upon reaching the netted area positioned below the cliff, climb the wall using the fishnet to access the upper region.
Continue westward, traversing past the car tire, and upon reaching a junction in the path, opt to proceed along the southwestern route. As you approach the mossy terrain at the trail's end, you'll confront Topoda, preparing yourself for a formidable battle.
After defeating Topoda in battle, you can learn the Mantis Punch adaptability by talking to him.
Use Mantis Punch Adaptability
Make sure toequip the Mantis Punch adaptability to break Umami Cubes; once you've done this, approach the glowing purple cubes and use this adaptability to break them. This way, you'll be able to access hidden areas in the game's regions.
