Loop Hero Among Five More Free Games Now Free To Claim On Amazon
Updated at 09:58 EST on August 9, 2024: Five more games are now free to claim on Amazon through Prime for any and all subscribers - Loop Hero, Trek To Yomi, Kraken Academy, South Of The Circle, and Gravity Circuit. You can claim them now through Prime Gaming and they will then be yours to keep, even if you let your Prime subscription lapse.
Unlike the four games that opened Amazon's August of free games, during which a total of 22 titles will be given away for free, the five free games available now will be free to claim for a while. You have 90 days to claim them, the titles remaining free until November 6, 2024, either through the links in the boxes for the games below or at Prime Gaming for the other three as well as the four games added to Amazon's roster of free titles last week.

Posts 1Original story: When asked why people subscribe to Amazon Prime, you'll probably receive one of two answers - the free postage, or the streaming service. The free games you get for being a Prime subscriber don't tend to rank up there with the shipping and the TV shows, but they really should. Amazon has upped the ante when it comes to free games these past few months, and it will keep that trend going throughout August. Prime subscribers can claim 22 games for free this month, and the first four are available now.
If you're subscribed to Prime, all you need to do to claim the games is head to Prime Gaming and click "Get Game". There are often various methods depending on the game, but clicking Get Game will take you to wherever you need to go. Kicking off Amazon's big month of free games are two Tomb Raider titles - The Angel Of Darkness and The Last Revelation + Chronicles - SteamWorld Heist, and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
Unlike game subscription services like Game Pass and PS Plus, titles you get through Prime Gaming will not disappear when removed or if your subscription lapses. Once claimed, they are yours to keep forever.
Amazon will be dropping a new batch of free games every single week, and while you won't be able to claim them until they arrive, the entire list of 22 and when each game will drop has already been revealed. Among the titles joining the four you can already claim on August 8 are Loop Hero and Trek To Yomi. Two very different games for gamers with very different tastes, and they'll be just two of five games being given away on August 8 for free if you have Prime.

A week later another five games arrive, headlined by what I'd argue is the pick of the 22 arriving throughout August - Baldur's Gate 2. Not a predecessor you are guaranteed to love if you've been mildly obsessed with Baldur's Gate 3 for the past year like the rest of us since it launched 23 years before 2023's game of the year. However, when it's free to claim and keep, if you love Baldur's Gate 3, you may as well give it a try. Worst case scenario is you don't like it and you spent a few hours confirming that.

Prime Gaming is one of many perks Amazon Prime subscribers get while their subscription is active. Subscribers get access to a number of free games each and every month, as well as exclusive content for games like Fall Guys, FIFA, and Call of Duty.

I'm unsure whether the same will apply to the games given away throughout the month, or if they will also be free to claim for a full month and return to full price in September.
