PostsPart of surviving your quest to cure the land is watching over the condition of your own body. Several factors can affect your state, such as the environment you're in and the food you eat. Certain conditions will help you perform better in exploration as well as battle, while others will prove perilous.
Every Status Effect
There are different types of status effects that can affect your body's condition. Positive status effects will grant you useful buffs that will make you stronger in combat, more efficient in farming, and the like. Negative status effects will hinder your performance, making you more susceptible to damage which is especially dangerous in combat.
There are also neutral status effects that don't grant any buffs or debuffs, but will notify you of what your body is currently doing. One example of this is the Digesting condition.
Positive Status Effects
Plenty of positive status effects can be obtained by treating your body right with good quality of rest, eating more complex dishes, and wearing the right clothing for the environment.
Completing certain tasks will also grant you a mood boost that buffs your performance.

PostsHow To View Your Status Effects
When a status effect is obtained, you'll be notified of the exact one with text that appears on the right side of your screen. You will also see the different status effects you've obtained represented in various icons above your health bar in the lower-left corner of your screen.
Negative status effects appear both in the notifications and as an icon on the lower left in a shade of red. This will allow you to distinguish it from positive effects.
To see the full details of each status effect, as well as a list of every single one you've obtained, you need to head to the Conditions tab of your menu.
Go to your menu and select the heart icon found at the top of your screen. This will open up your Conditions page and you will see the list of current status effects you have. Each will have a short description as well as a timer indicating what's left of its duration.
Hover over each status effect to view its full description. This will include an explanation as to how each was obtained.
How To Remove Status Effects
Both positive and negative status effects only last a certain duration and will wear off after a few minutes. You will see how long each condition lasts through a timer found next to it on the conditions page.
While negative status effects will require that you patiently wait for them to disappear, you can get rid of positive status effects obtained from food right away.
You can only eat two things until you become completely full. At that point, you will be unable to eat more or replace what you've consumed. That means the status effects you can obtain from food at a time is limited.
Drinking Digestive Tea will clear all the food in your stomach. To make Digestive Tea, you'll need one Clean Water and two Leaves. Using a Cooking Plate by a fire, select the recipe for Digestive Tea or add the ingredients manually to craft it.
