Alan Wake 2's Lake House DLC Stands Against AI Without Ever Mentioning It

The Lake House doesn't use the term "AI" but the Alan Wake 2 DLC satirizes it all the same.

To unravel the sinister mystery behind Cauldron Lake, Kiran Estevez must navigate through the Bureau. Understanding the depth of this case requires five computers containing the correct information, which are locked behind passwords at different sublevels. By understanding the clues left behind by the operators, you can locate these computers and crack their passwords.

Dr. James Mermont Office Computer Password

The first computer you'll encounter is the one inside Dr. James Mermont's office on the Bureau's ground floor. To crack the password, you must look around the room to locate enough numbers to fulfill the six-digit code requirement.

After inspecting the documents around the room, you will find two specific pieces of information highlighted: July 18 and Dr. Hedy Lamar's age of 38. Put them together, and you get the code 071838.

Black Rock Launcher Room Computer Password

Once you retrieve the clearance level two keycard, you can return to Sublevel One and open a door leading to the Black Rock Launcher. Inside the room, you can locate the second computer and the Black Rock Launcher; you only need to be observant.

Interact with the computer, and you will find the code written on a sticky note on the monitor that reads 021219.

Lockdown Control Room Computer Password

Before entering Sublevel Two, stack up ammo as the floor is jam-packed with numerous Taken enemies. On this sublevel, you must first use a computer at the far end to disengage the lockdown and open up locked doors.

The same computer also requires a password to access the mailbox. After the lockdown disengages, retrieve the clearance level two keycard from the guard's body and return to head inside another room. Inside the room, you must find enough info to craft a six-digit code for the computer. Combine the information from the documents together; you can find the password 092225.

South Cell Computer Password

On Sublevel Two, you will spot two giant cells right after entering the main lounge. Descend the stairs to your left to find a computer on a table and an interactable NPC named Rudolph Lane inside the cell. Like the Black Rock Launcher room computer, the password of this computer is written on a sticky note on the monitor: 123456.

Dr. Diane Mormont's Office Computer Password

The fifth and final computer to unlock is located at Dr. Diane Mormont's office at Sublevel Four across from the film reel archives. Once again, you must be observant to find the password written on a sticky note and glued to the monitor.

Input 685298 into the computer to open the final mailbox and unlock the Hard Work Achievement/Trophy.
