While gear and food can prepare you for combat, your skills give you an advantage over your prey and enemies. Not all skills will be useful to you, depending on how you play, but they all balance each other out or give you a well-rounded experience.

Memories Of The Survivor

The survivor memories focus on improving your base health and resistance to the different elements in Pandora. These skills are best to unlock if you plan on doing plenty of exploration and fighting, as you'll need additional space in your healing pouch and added benefits from raw ingredients.

Damage from plants is reduced by 50 percent.

Elemental Resistance

Resistance against fire, poison, and electricty is increased by 30 percent.

Vigor I

You gain an additional 50 percent of your base energy.

Vigor II

You gain an additional 50 percent of your base energy.

Larger Healing Pouch I

Health Pouch capacity increased by one.

Larger Healing Pouch II

Health Pouch capacity increased by one.

Elemental Knowledge

Deal an additional 25 percent damage to enemies with an active status effect.

Raw Food Diet

Eating raw food ingredients replenishes twice as much energy.

Apex Memory - Second Wind

Once you unlock all twelve skills under Memories of the Survivor, you can undertake the Apex Challenge: The Perfect Hunt. Completing this will grant you the skill Second Wind, which allows you to get back up after you are defeated so long as you have 50 percent of your maximum energy.

Memories Of The Warrior

The warrior memories focus on becoming a stronger fighter in combat. From carrying more ammunition to dealing more damage, these skills are sure to give you an advantage against your enemies.

Well Prepared

Unlocks a fourth slot in your weapons wheel.

Extra Ammo I

You can carry twice as many regular arrows, ammo rounds, and spears.

Extra Ammo II

You can carry twice as many special arrows, ammo rounds, and spears.

Tactical Awareness

Deal 15 percent more damage to tagged enemies.

Grenade Specialist

You can carry two more grenades (a total of five).

Longbow Expert

Each hit from the fully-drawn longbow deals an additional 25 percent damage, which stacks up to three times.

Spear-thrower Expert

Deal 25 percent more damage with the spear-thrower within 15 meters.

Shortbow Expert

Deal 25 percent more damage with the shortbow while moving.

Heavy Bow Expert

Deal 25 percent more damage with the heavy bow to enemies 50 meters away.

Apex Memory – Powerful Shots

Once you unlock all 13 skills, you'll earn the ability to briefly disorient the target when hitting them with a bow or spear-thrower. While there's only a small chance that this happens, it's definitely a useful skill to have in combat.

Memories Of The Hunter

Memories of the Hunter focus on stealth and foraging from hunting. You'll be able to deal more damage to your prey (and enemies) while staying in the shadows.

Eyes For Quality

Na'vi senses now show a stronger highlight on veteran and mature animals.

Lethal Stalker

Deal an additional 25 percent damage on your next attack within ten seconds after killing an unaware target.

Silent Destroyer

Allows you to stealth kill enemies with armored weak points.

Bountiful Hunter

Double the amount of cooking ingredients earned from hunting.

Powerful Staffsling I

The effect duration and range of Skunk Palm Pod is increased.

Deal 25 percent more damage to targets that are unaware.

Apex Memory - Pandoran Harmony

After unlocking all 12 of the other skills, you undertake the Apex Challenge to become "peaceful" to wildlife. Non-predators will not react around you, making it easier to gather ingredients.

Any threatening movement, such as to draw your weapon, will end the effect.

Memories Of The Maker

If crafting gear and weapons is something you enjoy, then the memories of the maker is where you'll want to focus your skill points. You'll get benefits from your food buffs and better materials.

Gatehring becomes easier to perform, making it more likely to gather in pristine condition.

Renowned Crafter

All Na'vi crafting experts are now willing to entrust you with their best materials.

Expert Forager I

You can carry five more cooking ingredients and crafting materials.

Expert Forager II

You can carry ten more cooking ingredients and crafting materials each.

Sturdy Arrows

Hunting arrows no longer break on impact and may be recovered by picking them up again.

Skillful Gatherer

Double the amount of cooking ingredients earned from gathering.

Scavenging Expert

You can sometimes find spare parts when looting AMPs.

Expert Ammunition Crafter

You can craft double the amount of Base Ammunition at once.

Apex Challenge – Master Crafter

After unlocking the rest of the skills in this branch, you can undertake the Apex Challenge to earn the final skill: Master Crafter. This means that newly crafted weapons will deal more damage and crafted gear provides more health and protection.

Memories Of The Rider

When you get your own ikran, there are skills you can unlock to make the experience even more exciting. This includes fishing from the skies and improving aerial combat.

Your ikran will catch fish when flying low over deep waters, which will replenish energy.

Aerial Fishing II

Increases the energy gained by fishing with your ikran.

Aerial Fishing III

Fishing with your ikran grants the well-fed status.

Barrel Roll

While riding your ikran, you can perform an evasive barrel roll to the corresponding side.

Experienced Flier

The stamina cost for moves like the barrel roll and flight boost is halved.

Favorite Food

Doubles the length of the ikran's favorite food buff.

Harmonious Rider

Non-predator wildlife will not react to you while you're mounted on a direhorse unless you get too close or gallop near them.

Improved Energy

Your ikran's energy increases by 20 percent.

Flying Takedown

On your ikran, you can take down RDA Scorpions or Samsons while they are staggered.

Apex Memory – Hunter's Boon

When you unlock each of the skills in this branch, you can unlock the Hunter's Boon. When performing a Flying Takedown, which sees your ikran rip through an RDA Scorpion in midair, you will replenish all of your ikran's stamina and stagger RDA units.

Ancestor Skills

Finding all the Tarsyu flowers will unlock more impressive skills that cannot be unlocked otherwise. These skills are unlocked as you explore more regions of the Western Frontier and they should be sought after as soon as possible for the benefits they bring.
