But how do you unlock and use Na'vi Senses? This ability will be one of the most important tools in your arsenal, allowing you to better navigate the land and survive. A guide will teach you when you'll unlock your Na'vi Senses, how you can use it, and some additional tips to help you explore the world.

How To Unlock And Use Na'vi Senses

You unlock your Na'vi senses early in the game, after you go through the beginning cutscenes, have a time skip, and escape the RDA base. You'll navigate a forest by following a waypoint, leading you to So'lek, injured and leaning against a tree.

After talking with him, So'lek will give you a bow and let you know about your Na'vi Senses. You simply hold down the Na'vi Senses button to make a blue circle appear on the screen.

Na'vi Sense Uses

Na'vi Sense lets you see auras and learn about different parts of the world. For instance, you can find trails along the ground, with the white trails leading you to prey and red leading to hunters.

Generally, white means a non-hostile creature, though it may attack if provoked. Red means a hostile creature that will attack you on sight.

If you look at the trails, you can press the information button to find out what they'll lead to, such as a herd or RDA soldiers protecting an area.

If you see a creature, you can mark them by pressing the button that appears at the bottom of the screen. Doing so will reveal information about what you found, such as its resources, level, and if there's any hunting or weather bonuses.

Na'vi Senses can help you find multiple useful resources and important plants.

  • Dangerous plants like the Poison Breath Spore, which will damage you.
  • Useful plants like the Speckled Mushroom, launching you high into the air.
  • Various resources, including wood to make arrows, fruit to cook, and other supplies.

If you want to track specific resources or enemies, mark them. You'll need to inspect them in the field first, but you can Pin them in the Hunter's Guide, and they'll gain a yellow aura.

Na'vi Senses Tips

Na'vi Senses have many uses, such as enemies and creatures becoming highlighted for a few seconds after using it. You can keep track of them while moving faster than you would with your Senses activated.

Doing so is especially useful during combat, since you can see enemy auras while hiding behind objects. This same wait time also makes it great when you want to find different resources.

You should always use your Senses before fighting enemies to compare their strength to yours. If they have a red x, they're stronger than you, meaning you should avoid them.

Constantly use your Senses while exploring, so you won't miss anything new. This can help you find foes before they attack you, interact with other Na'vi, and make your way through the world.
