Almost two years after its big reveal, following a brief detour in January during which it underwent a rebrand, Atari's handheld console is nearly here. The Gamestation Go, created alongside retro hardware specialists My Arcade, will have more than 200 classic games built in, and you can pre-order one right now ahead of its arrival this October.

Much like its re-reveal in January, the new trailer confirming a release window alongside a price and pre-order details has dropped out of nowhere, shared via My Arcade's social media channels. It confirms that the console will be released next month, and that if you've been eagerly awaiting its arrival, you can pre-order one right now for $179.99, either through GameStop or on Atari's website.

Although Atari's pre-order page keeps it vague, GameStop has confirmed that the exact release date of the Gamestation Go will be October 24, 2025. That means only a little more than six weeks to go until you'll have more than 200 arcade classics in the palm of your hand. Speaking of which, now that pre-orders have begun, some of the games included on the Gamestation Go have finally been revealed.

Not many of them, though. Pac-Man, Asteroids: Recharged, Missile Command, and Centipede: Recharged are among the classics that will be built in on the Gamestation Go, and with 200 other games joining them, Atari has naturally had to look elsewhere for help filling out the console's library. It's responsible for a lot of iconic arcade games, but not quite enough to fill up the Gamestation Go all by itself.

Jaleco and PIKO International games will also make up the Gamestation Go's 200+ titles, and even though the full library hasn't been revealed, suspicions that one of the features on the Gamestation Go meant Breakout would be included have been confirmed. The Gamestation Go has a paddle, and you will be able to use that paddle to play Breakout, as well as some other games, presumably.

While still unconfirmed, the keypad also has some hopeful Intellivision titles might have made the cut. There are a handful of Atari games that warrant the keypad's inclusion, but it seems likely there's more than just a few deep cuts if My Arcade has gone to the trouble of giving the keypad so much real estate on the console.

The handheld console also has more modern controls for those who prefer to use them, as well as various other mod-cons. A high-resolution seven-inch color display so the Atari games of old you remember playing decades ago look better than ever, and an HDMI port so that you can see and play those games on a bigger screen.

The Gamestation Go is available to pre-order now for $179.99, ready for its release on October 24, 2025. Stay tuned for the reveal of more of the 200+ games between now and its release.
