When you've reassembled the members of the Straw Hat Pirates and begin to explore in One Piece Odyssey, you'll soon find that there are parts of the map or certain things on it that only specific characters from your team can access. This means you'll need to remember which teammate has which field abilities!

PostsYour teammates' field exploration skills in One Piece Odyssey come in handy for all sorts of things when you're navigating the overworld, so you'll need to know when it's best to use everyone's different abilities. You never know what another teammate might find in each area!
Use Your Teammates' Skills To Navigate, Prepare, And Find Hidden Items
Trusting your team is a critical part of this group, and the Straw Hat Pirates are a group of nine with a variety of different skills available to you to help navigate through the game. You'll encounter a variety of elements in the game's overworld that only certain characters can see or access, so you'll need to switch between teammates to completely explore the areas in the game.
In the table below, we've detailed every crew member's field abilities to help you get around! The game often prompts you to switch when there's something nearby that suggests you should, but it never hurts to keep your eyes peeled regardless. These are different from their in-battle abilities, so be mindful of this.
That said, only the most basic abilities - the ones that break small items nearby - are unlocked during the first chapter for the majority of the Straw Hat Pirates. Though you begin the game with a glimpse into your future strength, you lose your power as part of the main story of One Piece Odyssey. As you progress through the game, you'll regain them, but you're limited to basic attack moves until then.
If you're not currently using a teammate that can detect hidden objects when one is nearby, you'll often hear a comment from that teammate suggesting they sense something, as your clue to swap to them and use their field ability before leaving the area.
