The Nintendo Switch OLED is a marked upgrade over the original Nintendo Switch. Maintaining the charm that comes with the base model, the OLED model also includes a larger seven-inch OLED screen - one inch larger than a standard Switch - and is able to display more vibrant and sharp colors. It also boasts a much larger internal storage, 64 GB versus the original's 32 GB. While you might not think you will need the bonus space, it is always nice to have instead of having to run out to grab a micro SD card or delete some games.

Since the OLED is just a slight hardware boost rather than a whole new console, every Switch game you already have is compatible with it. It is also compatible with all Joy-Con and other Nintendo Switch software. Some accessories might not work since the dimensions of the Switch OLED are slightly larger in some areas than the classic Switch, but there are plenty more like cases that will work since the changes aren't huge.
