Specifically, fans took to Reddit to ask one question: What Switch game disappointed you the most? The results will have you going through your own game library in sadness.

Were They Really That Bad?

Right off the rip, the top comment placed Mario Strikers: Battle League as the single most disappointing game in the Switch's near decade of existence.

"This one was such a shame," a user wrote in agreement. "I played the tutorial and the controls felt so amazing, and the presentation was great. But once that was over, there was just no content to keep me interested."

Citing, "so much less content than you’d expect," another user pinned Switch Sports as their most disappointing title. The game has a 72 on Metacritic, with one critic review calling it, "A disappointing, stripped-down and basic sequel to Wii Sports Resort."

Yikes.

Of course, no thread would be complete if someone didn't mention the Diamond and Pearl Remakes, of which several commenters obviously did. "The remakes missing much of what Platinum added isn't doing it any favors," one user succinctly summed it up.

In a rather interesting turn of events, another user called Fire Emblem: Three Houses a disappointing title. "The basic structure of the game, where you have to replay a frankly pretty long game four times, just (sets) me off," they wrote in their comment.

Speaking of hot takes, another user had Tears of the Kingdom as their most disappointing release. "I had huge expectations, since they developed this game for almost 7 years," a separate user wrote. "Felt like BotW 2.0 to me. Story was pretty lacking too."

That's just a sampling of the games that players found to be less than stellar. The entire thread is worth visiting to see if others share your opinion. Personally, I'm with a few of the commenters that Mario Golf: Super Rush was just too barebones for its price.
