From Buffy To Sarah Connor, Mortal Kombat Fans Pitch Female Guest Fighters

Summary
- Mortal Kombat has received a bunch of guest fighters over the years, but none of them are women.
- Now, fans are sharing their ideas for female crossover characters.
- Sarah Connor, The Bride, and Bayonetta are popular picks.
Mortal Kombat 1 did a lot to mix up the formula, with a new timeline and the introduction of Kameo fighters. However, it has continued one trend that many players would rather see the back of - no female guest fighters. Ever since characters from other IPs started hopping over into Mortal Kombat to get in on the action, they've all been men, and fans want this to change.
As we get yet another wave of all-male guest fighters, fans are coming up with ideas for women who could join the roster. Many of these fit the latest theme of movie icons, like Sarah Connor from Terminator, or The Bride from Kill Bill, but there are plenty of other suggestions too.
Here Are Some Ideas For The First Female Guest Character In The Mortal Kombat Series
There is no shortage of suggestions if we broaden the theme to action stars across media. Some of the characters put forward by fans include Lara Croft, Alita from Alita: Battle Angel, and Michonne from The Walking Dead.
Buffy was considered for a guest character spot in previous games, but has never made the cut.
If we look away from this theming, there are plenty of other female characters who would fit into Mortal Kombat 1 as well. Harley Quinn is a popular pick since NetherRealm also makes the Injustice series. Bayonetta also has fans who would like to see her join the roster, and she wouldn't be the first crossover who's exclusive to a game series, so it makes sense.
Right now, there's no word on when we'll get a female guest fighter. In the meantime, the latest to be added to Mortal Kombat 1 was T-1000 from Terminator.
