It's time for another partners event this week in Monopoly Go, keeping with the Lucas films theme with a straightforward title of Star Wars Partners. Team up with four friends and work together between 1PM ET on May 13 and 4PM ET on May 15to complete your builds.

Not only will you earn tons of cool Star Wars Partners prizes for hitting milestones with each partner, but if you finish all four of your builds before the end of the event, you'll win the grand prize of a new Star Wars token and one of two sticker-related rewards, too!

How To Play Star Wars Partners

Step One: Earn Tokens In Other Events

Since we're playing a roulette wheel this week with Star Wars Partners, it's only natural we'd need something to play the event with. As such, you can earn free Star Wars Partners tokens in several ways, such as:

  • Competing in the daily leaderboard contests during Star Wars Partners. Not only will you earn free tokens as milestone rewards along the way, but the top players on each leaderboard of 100 will earn hundreds of free tokens for their stellar efforts in the contest.
    • These tend to refresh every day, but offer a lower number of milestones in total.
  • Participating in the center banner events throughout the course of the Star Wars Partners event. The number of tokens you stand to win here is typically greater than that in the list of rewards for each of the daily leaderboard tournaments during the event.
    • These are longer-term events with more milestones (62, to be more precise), but they offer more free Star Wars Partners tokens as well.
  • Landing on board tiles with tokens on them as you make your way around every Monopoly Go game board. They're the long golden bars that are tough to miss!
    • You'll earn one token by default, but this scales with your dice roll multiplier, so if you've got enough dice on hand to justify increasing your roll when you're coming up on a stretch of free tokens, it's worth a shot!
  • Receiving free Star Wars Partners tokens as partner gifts throughout the event, should your partner choose to send some your way instead of taking a prize for themselves when they land on the Cargo or Gift space (more on that below, too).
  • Finishing all three of your daily quick win goals each day during the course of the Star Wars Partners events.
    • They currently refresh at 9AM ET and task you with three simple goals like landing on certain tiles or building up your properties on your current Monopoly Go game board, and you'll get free dice rolls as well as free Star Wars Partners tokens. Finishing almost every quick win goal on any week will reward you with a free purple sticker pack!
  • Collecting your in-game store freebies when they refresh every eight hours from the last time you claimed them. You'll earn free dice rolls and maybe even some free sticker packs just for checking into the game every so often during the day.
    • They're on the very last page of the scroll bar at the top, but you don't have to spend any cash at all to claim your free Star Wars Partners tokens every eight hours. That said, the Tycoon Club store does not offer any Star Wars Partners tokens during the event; that's just the in-game store.

Step Two: Build With Partners Via Roulette Wheel

The first step to participating in any partners event in Monopoly Go is to first team up with four players on your friends list to work together throughout the duration of the event to complete the point totals required to earn every Star Wars Partners reward by the time the event ends on May 18.

As such, the best way to give yourself good odds of finishing the event is to partner up with the most active friends on your friends list. If someone always has shields when you go to hit their landmarks during a Shutdown, they're typically online enough to keep their shields refreshed and would likely make a good partner.

You cannot un-pair with one of your Star Wars Partners after you've accepted the invitation to partner up, so choose wisely!

Each partnership functions independently of one another, which means it's up to you to decide how to split your Star Wars Partners tokens between all four builds throughout the event.

The goal by the end of the event is to have finished all four builds so you can win the grand prize: a new board token of Luke and Yoda on a grand adventure together, 5,000 free dice rolls, as well as a Wild Sticker to choose any sticker you need from the new Star Wars sticker album season, or Sticker Swap Pack to have a chance at several stickers of higher rarity.

There are two tiles on each roulette board that will make this easier on you, even before you've increased how many tokens you're willing to spend on that spin (since higher pay-ins means higher pay-outs with points!). One of them is fairly common: the golden tile, offering the highest number of points for any singular space on your roulette wheel.

The other space to look out for is the Cargo or Gift space, which is a returning feature from older partner events in Monopoly Go but still not one we get to play with all that often. Anytime you or your partner land there during the event, you'll be given the option to send a gift to your partner. This will either be:

  • A reward you can see, a set number of free Star Wars Partners tokens, dice rolls, or cash.
  • A mystery cargo gift, which we've seen contain things like more free Star Wars Partners tokens that we even used to roll, as well as several dozen free dice roll offerings for our partners. There's not really such thing as a bad free reward in a free mobile game, so we've found it worth it to take a risk and choose the mystery cargo!
