Best Sunken Treasures Strategy In Monopoly Go

Once you load into the Sunken Treasures mini-game, you’ll be presented with a grid-like map, where each square hides a piece of a hidden treasure. These lost artifacts include swords, chalices, ancient scrolls, and even gold bars.

The objective of the Sunken Treasures minigame is simple: collect as many Mallet tokens as you can and use them to dig up these lost riches. Since there are 16 levels in the game, you would need around 300 to 350 Mallet tokens to break squares on the grid. These tokens can be earned through daily Quick Wins, free gifts, or participating in other events.

The items you need to dig out for a certain level are displayed at the top of the screen. While there's always some element of chance, think strategically about which tiles to break first based on the shapes you need to reveal. This way, you won’t end up wasting mallets on unnecessary tiles.

For instance, if you need to dig out a metallic heart, you will need to break tiles arranged in a four-square pattern around any revealed part of the heart. On the other hand, a sword is more likely to be hidden in a four-tile linear pattern, either horizontally or vertically.

The actual locations of the hidden treasures are randomized to keep things fair for all players.

Once you reveal all the objects on a grid, you'll earn a milestone reward and progress to the next digging screen.

What Happens To Extra Mallet Tokens When Sunken Treasures Ends?

If you’ve actively collected Mallet tokens throughout the event, you’ll have a decent amount of them when you reach the final level of Sunken Treasures. Since all unused Mallets will turn into dice rolls at a ratio of 3:1, you can hold off on completing the last level and collect more Mallet tokens to get free dice rolls.
