How To Use The Dice Multiplier
Monopoly Go's multiplier can be found in the small orange or purple circle beside your "Go" button. It defaults to one when you begin playing, but you can manually change this to earn up to hundreds of times the rewards.
To change your Monopoly Go multiplier, tap the multiplier button and adjust it in accordance with how many dice you have. Purple means you're at the highest multiplier you can currently use, but this number is higher than normal during High Roller daily events. This is denoted by flickering lights around the multiplier.
Though you'll still only be able to roll up to a 12 on the dice when you roll, the Monopoly Go multiplier you used when rolling the dice decides how much you earn in rewards when you land on the next tile. Things impacted by your Monopoly Go multiplier are:
Close- Cash rewards earned from spaces you land on, which is one of the best ways to earn money. These include tiles like:
- Rent collection tiles you've built by upgrading the buildings on your current board.
- Railroad tiles, both opponent board Shutdown attempts and any Bank Heists you pull off.
- Chance cards and Community Chest spaces.
- The number of shields collected when you land on a tile with your custom shield on it, rewarding you with the number of shields equal to your multiplier
- Dice earned from rolling doubles in jail or collecting shields when you already have a full stock.
- The Go tile, which nets you extra cash when you land directly on it. You'll earn more for going past it, too.
- Quick win missions, which refresh daily and offer extra rewards like dice, stickers, tokens for the current long-term event, and more.
The multipliers you're able to use are directly impacted by how many dice rolls you currently have on hand - the more dice you have, the higher multiplier you can use.

Posts 1Tips For Using The Dice Roll Multiplier
Though it's tempting to immediately use the highest multiplier to fly through your dice rolls and earn the highest rewards in the shortest amount of time, it's wise to save your dice to use higher dice roll multipliers in Monopoly Go.
The best time to use them is always during events like weekly tournament events that ask you to earn points and edge out up to 50 other players in pursuit of rewards, or the longer-term events at the top-center of your screen, earning tokens and progressing toward milestone rewards that refresh each time a new event begins.
People have done the math over Monopoly's long lifetime and concluded that the most common rolls are six, seven, or eight. Because of this, you'd be wise to use high multipliers when you're six to eight spaces away from an important space, such as a rent collection space or one that earns you event points.
This does mean you'll need to manually roll one pair of dice at a time, unable to use the auto-roll function, but it's well worth it if you're trying to maximize your cash and event point earnings.
