If there is one constant in gaming, it is Monopoly. Monopoly has been on every system imaginable, often multiple times. The world of Monopoly has been thoroughly mined, and there is little in the way of innovation. Unless that is, you count brilliant titles like Square's Fortune Street.

Tired of waiting for free refills? Here are all the ways you can get free dice rolls in Monopoly GO!
PostsHow can Monopoly keep up with those games looking to take what they built and iterate on it? Well, with Monopoly GO!, the answer seems to be to take what people love about the classic board game and heavily reimagine it for a whole new market. This makes the game oddly novel (not something Monopoly is frequently accused of being). But with this newfound novelty comes confusion; let us teach you how to play this new-fangled version of Monopoly!
This Ain't Your Grandpa's Monopoly
One of the most striking things about Monopoly Go is that it isn't really a Monopoly game at all. It has all the ephemera of a Monopoly game. It looks like a Monopoly game at first blush, but you aren't buying properties, or strategically placing down houses. You aren't haggling with your friends for properties. None of that is present here.
Instead, Monopoly Go is about building an empire and pillaging from your opponents. You will do this by landing on railway station squares, which will then allow you to engage in a city invasion mini-game.

How To Make Bank With Bank Heists
So, when you invade another player's world, you will either attack a building, or you will raid their bank. If you raid their bank there are three outcomes...
- Three diamond rings will give you the best possible payout
- Three wads of cash will give you the middle-of-the-road payout
- Three coins will give you the worst payout
While the board is randomized, it doesn't appear to be completely random. As an example, we have never seen three diamond rings in a straight row. Use that info to try to get the best outcome for yourself! We live to peck away from the corners. This has, more often than not, provided solid results for us.
Dice Capacity
Your dice roll allotment will start on the low side in Monopoly Go. Thankfully, as you build and complete cities, you will be able to increase your maximum amount of rolls. Naturally, the more dice rolls you can accumulate, the longer the break you can take between sessions.
Your first Dice Capacity Upgrade will come early, at level 45. After that, you will need to hit level 175 to get your next capacity increase, and level 300 for the one after that.
Upgrade By Value
With every city you unlock, you'll have five more buildings that you need to build and upgrade. However, don't be fooled, each update is worth one upgrade point irrespective of the cost. So, try to squeeze as many in as possible by upgrading in order of value.
Each upgrade will place houses on your map, so the more you can get the better, as it will make your rolls more profitable. Remember, time is money. So, use your time wisely!
Triple It Up
One of the earlier unlocks you will get in Monopoly Go is the ability to increase your multiplier. This will allow you to roll up to three dice instead of just one. If you roll three dice, you will triple your rewards, including your ill-gotten gains from a heist.
You don't unlock the ability to use multiple dice by way of the upgrade path. You will simply be given this unique gift at level 20.
In fact, the multiplier will affect every effect. There is almost no reason NOT to use the triple multiplier. Unless that is, you just like rolling die and walking around the board.
If you are truly looking to optimize your strategy, you could choose to go lower your multiplier when you are in range of a tax space, as that is a poor use of multiple dice. However, we don't actually think it is worth the hassle at the end of the day.
Keep Your Shields Topped Up
As you progress along the map, you will inevitably pick up shields (they will be everywhere). These are what will protect your buildings from the siege tools of your enemies. However, you can only hold three at a time. Once you have three, you'll become vulnerable.
This means that you'll need to log back in frequently to check back on your shields, and then refill them when necessary. You'll be getting about five rolls per hour, so if you check back in every three hours or so, you should be able to keep those buildings safe. Sleep in shifts, people.
Spend Every Last Penny Before Logging Out
There is no punishment for bankrupting in Monopoly Go. However, while you are away from the game, people can invade your Monopoly kingdom and snatch your money from your bank. But you know what they can't take? The money you don't have!
So, when you are running low on dice, consider purchasing the property that will reduce your coffers the most. That way you won't have your cash snatched from you. You'll need to upgrade those more expensive properties later anyway, and it is better that you spend your money on upgrades than have the vultures snatch it away from you!
Use Dice Links!
We're keeping the best one for last. New Dice Links are released daily for Monopoly Go. More often than not, there will be two new dice links available daily. These links tend to provide you with an easy 25 dice a pop. That is 50 free dice per day!
These Dice Links are released on the official Facebook page, Discord, and Instagram. However, you can keep it simple and just consult our compendium of Dice Links. We update it daily, and remove links as they expire.
