As followers in Metaphor: ReFantazio go, Bardon doesn't immediately appear to be the likeliest of candidates. Although he kicks off the Martira Castle Town arc, he may seem like "just" a main quest supplier. As it turns out, though, he's your source for the Commander Archetype and its evolutions.

How To Unlock Bardon As A Follower

Bardon can become a follower any time from July 6th onward. At this point, you will obtain the Commander Archetype, which we happen to think numbers among Metaphor: ReFantazio's best.

You'll find Bardon in - you guessed it - Martira Castle Town. The first time you can kick up his follower questline, he'll pobably be in the central area of the town, but check close to the sanctoress' manor if needed - he'll pop up there for several later ranks, at least.
