More gameplay clips reportedly from Marvel's Wolverine are being shared online. If legitimate, they likely stem from last month's hack on Insomniac, which saw everything from details on upcoming games to the private information of employees made public.

The footage shows Marvel's Wolverine mid-development, with the build supporting a range of gameplay mechanics across a level that's still being created. These clips are, of course, not representative of the final product, and were not meant to be seen by fans.

Marvel's Wolverine doesn't have a set release date, but according to leaked material, it's scheduled for some time in 2026.

The origin of this latest leak is unclear. The clips appeared to have been first shared around seven hours ago from the time of writing, although if they were part of the Insomniac hack, it's not clear why the owner is only sharing them now. At this point in time, this latest leak is limited to gameplay footage, not any kind of business strategy or information on employees, as we saw with the first release of information.

Even in terms of gameplay leaks, this is far from the most egregious. Late last month, it was found that a playable build of Wolverine had been shared online, although internet service providers were quick to threaten customers with having their services pulled if they didn't delete the material from their computers.

The group who claimed responsibility for the hack, Rhysida, made off with 1.67 terabytes of data. They tried to blackmail Sony for $2 million in bitcoin in return for keeping the information private, but the gaming giant didn't pay. As a result, the information was leaked online on December 19. Right now, there's been no word on any action taken against Rhysida, although as of November, there was already an active investigation into the group in the United States.

As we've seen in the case of the hack against Rockstar, the perpetrators could be in for some severe sentences if they are caught and convicted. One of the individuals behind the Grand Theft Auto 6 leak will be held in a hospital until he is "no longer a danger". He has no set release date. It remains to be seen what kind of action will be taken against the Insomniac hackers if they are caught.
