Details of Marvel Snap's upcoming season have just been announced, and it's a biggun. The star of The Power Cosmic is The Silver Surfer, a 3/0 that gives your other three cost cards +3 power. The season launches December 6.

First and most important is news of Collector's Tokens. These had previously been announced in the game's roadmap, but now we know exactly how they'll work. From Collection Level 500 you'll earn Tokens which can be used to purchase cards that will be rotated every eight hours in the shop. These are personalised to you, so it'll always be a Pool 3+ card you don't have. You can even pin them so you can save up and buy later. We asked for a new way to unlock cards and the devs delivered.

Next up is news of the new Card Pools, or Series as the developer calls them. There are ten cards in Pool 4, but you can start unlocking them as soon as Pool 3 is unlocked, you don't need to finish Pool 3 first. Phew. Likewise for Pool 5, which has six new cards.

The new cards are:

Pool 4

  • Luke Cage - 2/1, Ongoing: Your cards can't have their Power reduced
  • Absorbing Man - 4/3, On Reveal: If the last card you played has an On Reveal ability, this card copies it
  • She-Hulk - 6/10, Costs 1 less for each unspent Energy last turn
  • Titania - 1/4, When any card is played at this location, this card switches sides
  • Maria Hill - 2/3, On Reveal: Add a random 1-cost card to your hand
  • Agent Coulson - 3/4, On Reveal: Add a random 4-cost and 5-cost card to your hand
  • Hellicarrier - 6/10 - When you discard this from your hand, add 3 random cards to your hand
  • M'Baku - 1/2, If this is in your deck at the end of the game, it jumps to a random location
  • Attuma - 4/10, If you have another card here at the end of your turn, destroy this
  • Orka - 6/9, +5 power if this is your only card here

Pool 5

  • Bast - 1/1, On Reveal: Set the Power of all cards in your hand to 3
  • Shuri - 4/1, Double the Power of the next card you play
  • Thanos - 6/8, At the start of the game, shuffle the six Infinity Stones into your deck
  • Galactus - 6/3, On Reveal: If this is your only card here, destroy all other locations
  • Valkyrie - 5/3, On Reveal: Set all cards at this location to 3 Power
  • Super Skrull - 4/2, Ongoing: Has the Ongoing effects of all ernemy cards

If you've hit Collection Level 500, you'll be given 3,000 Tokens at the start of the new season. If you're at a higher level you'll get more to make up for the ones you missed along the way. This should be enough to buy several new cards from the Collector's shop.
