Magic: The Gathering - The 10 Best Cards In Duskmourn's Miracle Worker Commander Deck

There's no greater feeling in Magic: The Gathering than ripping the exact card you need off the top of your deck at the beginning of a turn. And with Duskmourn's Miracle Worker Commander deck, you'll get that feeling and then some thanks to the reduced mana price on many of those top-decked spells.

Posts 1But a card doesn't need to have miracle for it to be worth playing, and that's especially true of the cards in Miracle Worker. There are a ton of powerful cards to be found in this enchantment-focused Commander deck, and we’re going to showcase ten of them here.
10 Soaring Lightbringer
Fly Like A Glimmer
It's a Bird, it's an enchantment, and it's got great value. You get a 4/5 flying critter that gives other enchantment creatures flying, and whenever you attack, you get a 1/1 Glimmer enchantment creature token (that also gets flying).
The important thing to note here is Soaring Lightbringer doesn't need to attack for you to get that token. You just need to "attack a player" for a 1/1 Glimmer token to pop out. That makes this glowing birb a pretty great token generator.
9 Fear of Sleep Paralysis
A Completely Rational Fear, To Be Honest
For those unaware, sleep paralysis is when you wake up but can't move because your body still thinks you're in deep REM sleep. It's pretty spooky and more than a little freaky, which describes this card perfectly.
First, you get a 6/6 flying for six mana, but then every enchantment played or Room fully unlocked results in a creature being stunned permanently (or at least until Fear of Sleep Paralysis leaves). A great card to slowly but surely grab control of the board and eventually win.
8 Cramped Vents / Access Maze
Just Like My Apartment: Claustrophobic And Disorienting
The first Room to make it onto our list, Cramped Vents provides you with some sorcery-speed removal that could also potentially gain some life. Four mana is an efficient price for six damage, and the life gain is just gravy.

PostsAccess Maze is a little pricier for what you get. If you've already got seven mana to unlock this Room, you can probably already pay for the spells in your hand. However, if you've got a deck that draws a lot of cards, being able to cast spells by paying life instead of mana could be very helpful.
7 Secret Arcade / Dusty Parlor
My Two Favorite Places
Secret Arcade / Dusty Parlor has the potential to produce a lot of +1/+1 counters in a very short period of time. Assuming you can afford to pay eight mana and unlock both Rooms right off the hop, every enchantment cast produces +1/+1 counters equal to its mana cost, and every permanent you cast immediately becomes an enchantment.
Essentially, this card means every permanent spell cast makes one of your creatures bigger, producing a rapidly escalating threat. It works best in an enchantment-heavy deck, but it works just fine all on its own.
6 Arvinox, The Mind Flail

Arvinox initially saw life as a Secret Lair drop, then later as a Universes Within reprint. Now we finally get to see Arvinox as an honest-to-goodness legendary enchantment creature in Duskmourn.
Expensive at seven mana, Arvinox (hereafter affectionately referred to as 'Arvy') is also slow to get online as you also have to pay for the mana costs of three other permanents. This can take a while if you don't have a lot of mana or if your opponents don't all have permanent spells on the bottoms of their graveyards. But once you do get those cards into play, enjoy your 9/9 Horror.
5 Redress Fate
Miracles Do Happen
Let's say you're playing a mill-heavy deck that's full of enchantments and artifacts (such as can be enabled by a later card on this list). And then let's say you draw Redress Fate off the top of your library. You can then return all those artifacts and enchantments that you milled into your graveyard back into play for the low price of four mana.
Even if you don't pay this card's miracle cost, eight mana to bring back all your enchantments and artifacts is still a steal. All you need to do is put them in your graveyard, and there are plenty of ways to do that.
4 Ancient Cellarspawn

It's really easy to make cards cost less than their mana value in Magic: The Gathering. Jet Medallion, Stormscape Familiar, and Bontu's Monument are just a few examples. On top of that, Ancient Cellarspawn itself makes Demons, Horrors, and Nightmares cost one less.

Posts 2That'd be great on its own, but Ancient Cellarspawn also causes an opponent to lose life equal to the difference between the mana you spent and the mana you should have spent without all the discounts. This can add up to a ton of life loss if you cast even a few spells.
3 Metamorphosis Fanatic
The Best Miracles Are The Ones We Create Ourselves
Even if you never paid Metamorphosis Fanatic's miracle cost, it's still an excellent card. Six mana for a 4/4 with lifelink that also reanimates your biggest, baddest monster and then gives it lifelink is a door-crasher deal.
Add on the potential to do all that for just two mana if you draw this off the top of your deck, and you've got a card that is likely to see itself in many black decks whether they focus on reanimation or not.
2 The Master of Keys
It'll Open Doors You Didn't Even Know Existed
I like a card that retains good value no matter how much mana you pump into it. No matter what, The Master Of Keys will always offer power and toughness equal to the total mana you pay. It'll even throw flying in for free.
But what really sells this card is how you'll be able to mill yourself and then cast enchantments from your graveyard. The Master of Keys offers power and graveyard manipulation in one tidy package.
1 Aminatou, Veil Piercer
A Real Miracle Worker
In a deck with lots of enchantments (and I mean a lot of enchantments), Aminatou can offer huge mana savings. Every enchantment you draw gains a miracle cost equal to its normal casting cost minus four colorless mana. That's Arvy out for just three mana, or Fear of Sleep Paralysis out for just two.
The best part is, Aminatou comes with built-in deck manipulation, allowing you to ensure that enchantment is the first card you draw every turn. She provides incredible utility in any deck that focuses exclusively on enchantments.
