If you're looking for a group to play with, consider joining or starting up an Agency. Agencies are player-ran organizations that frequently collaborate to build their ranks and upgrade their Agency facilities. Whether it's a small group of friends or an Agency full of comrades, here is everything you need to know about your multiplayer options.

How To Invite Friends

To invite friends to join you, select the plus icon in the main menu, then choose which friends you want to invite. If you want to invite people who are not on your friends list, select Team Battle, then Create Team ID. Share this ID with others to let them join your lobby, and, once your allies have joined, go to their Player Info to send them a friend request.

As of writing, My Hero Ultra Rumble does not have cross-play functionality.

How To Join An Agency

On the main menu, go to Agency to bring up the list of agencies. From here you can view search through Agencies with the filter function to find an agency that fits your preferences. Agencies are perfect for finding other players with similar goals to tear through the competition, much like a guild in other games.

Some Agencies require you to apply to join. Applications can take a long time to be reviewed and may be rejected if you don't meet the Agency Style.

If you can't find an agency you like, go to the Create Agency tab to make your own. You can allow anyone to join your Agency or invite others with your Agency ID.

Once you're in an Agency, you can donate Agency Points to upgrade your Agency Facilities. Upgrading the various facilities impacts the contribution points, EXP, and gold obtained from matches. The aid center raises contribution points earned, upgrading the gym increases EXP earned, and upgrading the Agency itself improves gold earned.

How To Have Good Team Synergy

The foundation of your team relies heavily on your ability to communicate. Use voice chat at all times for easy communication among all your team members. Rely on the chat wheel, which is mapped to the D-pad by default, to convey information if voice chat isn't an option.

Whether you're using voice chat or the chat wheel, place down markers to visually highlight important locations to your team. Hold down on the D-pad to select the type of marker you want to put down, always mark the location of enemies or leftover items.

Your team is strongest when you're all together,so always tell your squad where you want to explore next. Ensure your allies are close, and their abilities are off cooldown before engaging with an enemy. Work with your team to focus your efforts on a single enemy and repeat this process til all opponents on a team have been knocked down.

Which Characters Pair Well Together

Generally, it's a good idea to have multiple characters of the same role on a team to boost the effects of the role passive. However, there are a few characters that work great with any team despite their roles.

Midoriya is an Assault character with high mobility that can hit hard from a distance. If a situation becomes desperate, he can use his Quirk Skills to quickly disengage and continue firing from afar. Midoriya pairs best with long-distancefighters like Bakugo and Todoroki to eliminate enemies at a distance.

Bakugo is a Strike character with strong attacks, great mobility, and fast reload times. He fits into nearly any team composition, but works especially well with Cementoss. Bakugo's AP Shot can fire straight through objects, allowing Cementoss to shield his allies while Bakugo eliminates opponents

Asui is a Rapid character that excels at rescuing teammates and disengaging when necessary. She can instantly revive downed allies with Froggy Catch, escape with Ribbit Shot, and use Camofrog to stay hidden from her opponents. Pair Asui alongside high-mobility characters like Iida and Todoroki, to create a team that can easily slip in and out of combat.
