Players can also rebind controls for both Mio and Zoe, so the second player can fine-tune the controls to their liking. This is a great addition because it ensures that both players can comfortably enjoy the experience after they’ve decided on the characters.

Split Fiction Controller Support on PC

Split Fiction has native support for Xbox and PlayStation controllers. This means you can safely disable Steam Input and use the controller type you’re more comfortable with. The game also has the correct button prompts available in-game for the connected controller. While the game has support for keyboard and mouse, the developers still recommend playing with a controller for the most optimal experience.

Fix Split Fiction Controller Issues

If you’re using a PlayStation controller, and don’t see the correct in-game prompts, simply disable Steam Input so Split Fiction loads the correct controller profiles set up by the developers and accurately detects the controller type connected.

  • Make sure Split Fiction isn’t running
  • Open Steam, and navigate to your library
  • Here, right-click on Split Fiction and select Properties
