Activate Photo Mode in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

To activate photo mode in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, press the F1 key on your keyboard or press both L3/LS and R3/RS on your controller.

Alternatively, it can also be activated by pausing the game, going to settings, and then selecting Photo Mode from there.

While you can certainly take some fun shots with the photo mode, it’s a bit limited when compared to most AAA titles. Players can perform the following functions with the photo mode active:

Photo Mode can be activated during combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, but not during dialogue sequences.

It’s a bit disappointing that there are no camera effects, frames, or filters for players to apply to their shots. However, it’s perfectly usable for capturing wider shots, especially environments.

Once you’re satisfied with the scene, you can either press E on the keyboard or X/A on the controller to take a high-quality (JPG) shot, which is saved locally on your system. Once you take a shot, Henry will remark, “Nice” afterward, which is a… nice little detail.

These are uncompressed image files and are usually in the 4-6 MB range. We recommend using the files here instead of a screenshot tool.

We hope that the developers consider adding more features to the photo mode as Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is full of breathtaking environments and we’d love to have more control over the camera and its lens at the very least.
