Shock Traps and Pitfall Traps

Barrel Bomb, Large Barrel Bombs, and Mega Barrel Bombs
Using Mega Barrel Bombs is the best way to deal massive damage to a sleeping monster. Since monsters take double the damage from any single source or instance of damage while sleeping, using Barrel Bombs is the most effective way to deal as much damage as possible to capitalize on this mechanic.
Place multiple bombs beside sleeping monsters and detonate them for maximum damage. The “single” source of damage applies to all the bombs placed because they explode simultaneously. This is why bombs should always be in every hunter’s item pouch when doing hunts.

Nulberries

Craft and stockpile those Mega and Max Potions and replenish them after every hunt. You can even stockpile some on your Seikret just in case you run out.
Might Pills
Might Pill is an offensive support item that increases your strength temporarily when consumed. The buff gives the hunter an additional 25 points to their attack stat that lasts for 20 seconds. While only used in niche situations because of its duration, it helps hunters shorten hunts or push you over the top when you are trying to progress through tempered monsters.
Well-Done Steaks
Well-Done Steaks restores a hunter’s health and stamina when consumed, but its biggest boost is that it also boosts their max health and stamina gauges. When fighting monsters that last over 30 or more minutes, you might lose your food buff, especially if you don’t eat every time between hunts.
Carrying Well-Done Steaks is essential to never having a moment where you can’t max out your gauges.
Tranq Bombs
