Just like the previous Monster Hunter games, players can be inflicted with a variety of blights and ailments that add an extra layer of challenge by forcing players to prepare beforehand for potential dangers during the hunt.

How to Check Remaining Blight and Ailment Duration

If you are currently inflicted with blight or a certain ailment, you can check the remaining duration of the said effect by holding L1 or LB.

When the timer reaches 20 seconds, it will be displayed automatically and you don’t need to hold the button. If you use a remedy to get rid of the ailment or blight, it will be reflected in the timer as well.

Ailments and blights are a common occurrence in any Monster Hunter experience, and being prepared can save you the headache of actively dealing with the negative effects they introduce.
