Efficient ways to get Reputation for the Warsong Outriders in WoW Classic SoD
If you’re looking for the best gear in WoW Classic: Season of Discovery, you’ll need to grind your Warsong Outriders reputation to Revered. Thankfully, this is far easier than it was in regular Classic due to a new SoD feature. You’ll even get an early mount out of it!

Best way to grind Warsong Outriders reputation in World of Warcraft Classic: Season of Discovery
The best source of Warsong Outriders reputation in WoW Classic: Season of Discovery is the Battle for Ashenvale. This is a world event unique to SoD that dishes out tons of Warsong reputation to any in the area.
While in Ashenvale, you can see a percentage counter for both the Horde and Alliance. These go up whenever the respective faction makes a kill. Once both factions are at 100%, the Battle for Ashenvale begins.
Image: PC InvasionFor the Horde to win Battle for Ashenvale, we must defeat the Keepers of the Grove at the camps shown on the map. Once all three Keepers are down, the main boss, Felore Moonray, will become damagable. Defeat Felore before the Alliance defeats our Blademasters, and the Horde will win.

How to earn Warsong Outriders reputation in Battle for Ashenvale
Image: PC InvasionEvery boss defeated in Battle for Ashenvale rewards200 Warsong Outriders reputation. You’ll also get 200 reputation for winning, with an extra 100 reputation for every Blademaster still alive. On top of these, the NPCs in each base also reward upwards of 15 rep per kill.
Follow this plan every battle to earn as much Warsong Outriders reputation as efficiently as possible:
- Set your Hearthstone to Splintertree Post
- Join a group attacking Runestone (aka Beach)
- Use your Hearthstone as soon as Centrius has been defeated
- Run to Research if it’s still active
- Run to Glaive if Ceredwyn at Research has been defeated
- Run to Moonwell Camp to defeat the final boss
Using this method, you should be able to earn the reputation from two to three bosses, one to two packs of NPCs, and hopefully secure a victory. On my server, which usually sees a Horde victory, I earn around 1,000 reputation per battle.
Image: PC InvasionI also highly recommend the NovaWorldBuffs AddOn. This can actively track Ashenvale’s current progress and send you (and your guild) a notification for when the battle will start. No matter where I am, I always keep the percentage counter in the bottom right to track when it’s time to fight.
Like regular WoW Classic, participating in the Warsong Gulch PvP Battleground also earns you Warsong Outriders rep through repeatable token quests.

The Warsong Outriders offer far more rewards than regular Classic WoW. This includes a Level 25 mount (only usable in Ashenvale) and plenty of best-in-slot gear.
