Viral Sephiroth meme has gamers putting him in different games

The post that started it all was from “eyebrowpillar” on Twitter/X, which read “i think sephiroth should be in every video game.” Although it started as a small joke, gamers took the ball and ran with it, creating hilarious image memes of Sephiroth in other games where he definitely shouldn’t be in.

This post has now garnered over 2,500 quoted posts with photoshopped Sephiroths in games such as the ones below. “cIoudgf” put Sephiroth into Cooking Mama, while “NAMIIMWAH” created a meme of Sephiroth in Doki Doki Literature Club.

Then we have Sephiroth in Animal Crossing, which I noticed was done several times. This meme by “sickgir1” is just as funny as the ones by “chirithies” and “susumunakoshie“. It seems like Animal Crossing is a popular game for this meme.

While the ones with Sephiroth looking very out of place are still funny, the best ones have to be the memes with Sephiroth models that look like they belong in the game itself. “majibomber” posted one of Sephiroth in Fire Emblem: Three Houses having tea time.

Twitch’s account themselves bought into the meme and put a little Sephiroth sprite into Stardew Valley. Although they didn’t quote the original post, this is clearly adding to the Sephiroth in other games meme.

The more I scroll on my timeline, the more Sephiroth memes I spot. It still doesn’t stop being funny, and maybe it never will. Something about the idea of Sephiroth, one of Final Fantasy’s most iconic villains, somehow being in every video game, even the cozy ones, is hysterical.
