It is no secret that the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 meta has completely shifted, bringing Sprites back into the mix while introducing new mechanics related to these beloved, powerful companions. However, ever since the launch of the season, many players have been asking the same question: What does mastering a Sprite do in Fortnite? Well, the answer is more complex than you may think.
How to Level Up a Sprite in Fortnite
You can level up a Sprite in Fortnite by searching chests, eliminating enemies, or repeating Sprite extractions. When you first grab a Sprite on the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 map or summon one using Sprite Dust at the start of a match, it starts at Level 1. As your Sprite levels up, its passive ability becomes significantly stronger. In order to get a Sprite to its maximum level (Level 5), you need to accumulate Mastery Points (MP) during a match.

Apart from exploration, players can also take down enemies for the fastest way to level up their Sprite, with 200 MP granted for each elimination. These MP rewards are doubled on Mondays, thanks to Epic’s Mastery Mondays events.
Finally, remember that you don’t have to hit Level 5 in a single match. You can progress a Sprite to Level 3, head to an Extraction Site, or use a Portable Extractor Gizmo, and safely add it to your lobby Collection.
What Happens When You Master a Sprite in Fortnite?
