The Fortnite Gone Wild event has just kicked off in Chapter 7 Season 3, and Epic Games has added the new Sprites to the game. Among these, the Fortnite Striker Sprite is possibly one of the most useful companions a player can have. If you are looking to find this soccer-themed Sprite in Fortnite, here’s everything you need to know.
Where to Find Striker Sprite in Fortnite
You can find the Striker Sprite by scoring a goal at the new Soccer Pitch added right next to The Quackaway landmark on the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 map. The pitch was added with the Fortnite 41.10 update as part of the in-game celebrations for the ongoing FIFA World Cup.
Players will need to find a ball on the soccer pitch and kick it by carrying it with their feet into either of the goalposts. You can run towards the ball in front of you and aim your crosshair towards the goalpost. Then, once you’re near it, just keep running inside the nets or just pickaxe the ball to chuck it in. Once you do that, you will hear a whistle and sirens, which indicate the goal and the ball converts into the new Striker Sprite.
- Head to the Soccer Pitch.
- Find the soccer ball.
- Score a goal to claim the Striker Sprite.
Unlike other Fortnite Sprites, which you can only find in chests and floor loot, the Striker Sprite is tied to this specific challenge in Chapter 7 Season 3. If you are unable to score a goal, you can still try your luck at finding the Sprite in Fortnite Sprite Chests and other loot sources.
However, it is important to remember that finding the Striker Sprite is only half the battle. If you want to add it to your collection permanently, you need to immediately take it to an Extraction Site or use a Portable Extractor. This will allow you to equip the Sprite for future matches and summon it using Sprite Dust in case you lose it.
What Does the Striker Sprite Do in Fortnite?
When equipped, the Striker Sprite grants you the Overdrive effect in Fortnite every single time you Mantle or Hurdle. This ability can completely flip close-quarters combat in your favour. Players usually use parkour mechanics to reposition during a fight or to escape and collect themselves. However, when the Striker Sprite is equipped, these same movements can help you trigger Overdrive during intense fights.

This allows you to chase down enemies and keep the pressure on them. Furthermore, if you are running from the storm, you can simply build a wall in front of you and mantle it to gain an Overdrive effect, allowing you to take less damage.
That said, here is a breakdown of how the Striker Sprite’s buff scales with its levels:
Striker Sprite LevelOverdrive Buff DurationLevel 16 secondsLevel 27 secondsLevel 38 secondsLevel 49 secondsLevel 510 secondsWhile equipping a level 1 Striker Sprite may contribute significantly with 6 seconds of buff in a Fortnite match, it’s important you master this sprite to reap its full benefits at level 5, where the duration jumps to 10 seconds.
