1. Leicester City

2. Sevilla

Uncertainty punctures the air around the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan, meaning it’s on you to restore some order. A squad overhaul is long overdue, but you’ll need to keep your ambitions in check since the funds are pretty limited. Bargain buys from mid-tier Spanish clubs and magical veterans such as Ayoze Perez might be the best way forward. The ultimate objective is to climb La Liga’s ranks, make it back into Europe, and lift the UEL once again, just to show the world that Sevilla have still got it.

3. Liverpool

There’s little explanation required for why Liverpool are among the best teams for an FC 26 Career Mode save. The Reds have amassed an embarrassment of attacking riches during the transfer window, despite already having the highest-rated player in EA FC 26. All the summer spending means that the pressure is higher than ever. Nothing less than world domination will do, and that means picking up every domestic competition and lifting the UEFA Champions League.

There are other complications to deal with, of course, such as providing ample game time to all your recruits. It’ll also take some time for the new fullback pairing of Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong to get acclimated. An unfortunate injury to Virgil van Dijk can easily curtail your campaign, and with Trent Alexander-Arnold gone, how do you get the best out of Mo Salah?

Many other important questions need answering, and the final goal is to bring the treble to Anfield.

4. Galatasaray

You can always count on Galatasaray to deliver an exciting Career Mode save and this year should be no different. Their squad is so idiosyncratic, made up of ‘streets won’t forget’ journeymen, and formerly world-class European talent. We’re talking Victor Osimhen and Mauro Icardi up front, Leroy Sane and Nicolo Zaniolo on the wings, and a midfield base of Mario Lemina and Lucas Torreira.

The Lions are a rugged bunch, always up for a scrap and more than capable of punching above their weight. Securing the Super Lig should be easy enough, but the prize you need to be eyeing is the Champions League. There’s genuine potential for a memorable cup run, provided you deliver the pragmatism to overcome the likes of PSG and Real Madrid. So, drop that line, drill the nastiest mid-block imaginable, and bring the European honor to Turkey.

5. Hamburger SV

It took seven long years, but Hamburg have finally returned to the Bundesliga. HSV is steeped in prestige, with Icons such as Franz Beckenbauer and Uwe Seeler having donned its famous blue and red. The city also has a full-blooded love for the game, as evidenced by the raucous celebrations that left the Volksparkstadion without any grass after the club sealed promotion last season.

There’s no time to dwell on that accomplishment, however, since the Bundesliga isn’t kind to newly-promoted teams. You’ll be coming up against stronger sides on almost every matchday, and that’s excluding the likes of Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and Bayer Leverkusen. Thankfully, the club have recruited smartly, bringing in the duo of Fabio Viera and Sambi-Lokonga from Arsenal, as well as the experienced Yussuf Poulsen. The objective is simple: keep HSV in the top division. And who knows, maybe you could embark on a cup run for the ages.
