Arrowhead and Paradox are throwing a major promotion for Magicka ahead of the new expansion, The Stars Are Left.
Over the weekend, the game will be free to Steam users - and if you like what you see, you can buy a copy at 75% off the normal price, positioning you perfectly to pick up the next expansion.
In a Q&A video, the expansion's title was explained. It does indeed refer to the Lovecraft mythos, with the direction of the stars reversed because there's already a game called The Stars Are Right.
The Stars Are Left will feature a large dose of new campaign material in response to fan requests, including some puzzle gameplay. It's expected during northern winter.
