Apple announced a new 128 GB iPad today for some reason. No fanfare, no press conferences. Just a press release.

All they’ve done is double the capacity of the previous top fourth-generation 64 GB model — nothing else changes. Well, the price changes: $799 for the Wi-Fi model and a crazy $929 for the cellular option. It will be available on Feb. 5, Apple nuts.

It seems that they’re aiming this new tablet at business users, but mobile gamers will surely benefit from its massive storage capacity. I think all of my overpriced RPG ports will fit on this.
