We may see two new games in 2014 from Tekken director

Recommended VideosTekken is still chugging along, and director Katsuhiro Harada recently had a chat with 4Gamer to clarify where he stands on the series . Although he’s mostly been working on F2P in 2012, he also noted that, everything upcoming may not be entirely Tekken related, stating,”there are a few titles that we’ve been quietly working on, and some we’ve been thinking about working on, so the year 2014 looks like it’ll be a tough one.”
He also states, “From there, I’d like to announce at least two of those titles in 2014, and I feel that it’s something I must do.” Based on the wording, it seems as if he’s not talking about Tekken, but new works or possibly new IPs. Harada is making a 2014 resolution to do more work related activities, instead of making “surprise appearances” and doing a ton of pro-bono gigs, which he said he did a lot of in 2013.
It’s always interesting to see creators and directors play tug of war with their life works. Whereas Kojima is constantly going back to Metal Gear Solid, others wrestle with the idea of going back and forth between new projects and their existing IPs.
